Guest guest
Hi all, I am not sure whether it is appropriate for me to ask this question on this forum which is clearly geared towards helping autistic childen. I have however been prescribed both Valtrex and MB12 for a facial pain condition I have suffered from constantly for the last 5 years. (It's very serious - the pain is completely disabling, and I spend most of my time resting and reading.) A doctor I recently saw believes that I may have a herpes infection (HSV-1)in my facial nerves. I have previously had some positive but not long lasting improvement on both antibiotics and antifungals. It makes sense then, reading the posts, about the possibility of a " smoldering virus " . I am also extremely exhausted - which is a viral symptom. (I have a long herpes history since contracting the virus as a 2 yr old.) Since starting first natural antivirals (2 weeks) and then adding in Valtrex (2 weeks) my pain has increased. I am a bit worried about this, as you can imagine, and I am wondering if anyone has any ideas on HOW LONG I should stay on the treatment if I continue to have increased pain, or just no improvement (ie if I do return to the general base line pain I had before treatment started)? I would be extremely grateful for any advice anyone might have to offer!!!! Yours ne.
