Guest guest
Wow, I don't check the board for two days and all sorts of things have been going on. It is 4:12 A.M. and I have not slept all night. I started getting sickly feeling about three or four days ago, headache, just not feeling myself. Yesterday it all came to a head with an evening erping and having extreme tummy pain. I stayed in bed all day dozing off and on. I was so scared I was going to get dehydrated but tonight around 11 P.M. I started on ice chips. It was uncomfortable and at 1 A.M. I realized I was hungry and all that sickly burping had stopped so I got up and made my favorite protein drink added a tablespoon of orange juice concentrate and then drank 1/4 of it. I went back to bed and got up a little while ago and I am drinking the rest of it. I feel really good right now, no pain or anything. I guess I got a virus from my friend who has been sick also. I am coming to Delano for my three year check up on March 11. We thought we would combine it with our timeshare but there is nothing available at the beach during that time. We have not made plane reservations and have thought about spending some time in Arizona. We still have 7 inches of snow here so warm weather sounds good. I am sorry you are having gastric reflux, . Could it be related to the hiatal hernia Dr. Keshishian operated on while you had the DS? Sounds like everyone had great advice for you. Maybe a little yogurt before you go to bed might help. I took Activia while I was on antibiotics after this round of plastic surgery. I didn't get a yeast infection or anything associated with antibiotic use. Maybe just a few teaspoons of Activia would help. I have been inspired to start back on the treadmill. The thing about being sick is that it got me back to 136 pounds just two pounds up from my low point. Thanks Sharon for getting me off my butt and back to exercising. Hope you all stay well. This is the first time I have been sick since the DS. Guest guest
Where do you find Crystal lite with calcium added???? Marla I found a great way to lose weight. I am now two pounds down from when I got weighed in Dr. K's office last Tuesday. I flew home and got the cold from hell. My son and grandson got it a couple days before me. So we have canceled our big vacation to Denver tomorrow. I am really sad. It even snowed there yesterday and today. I have forced myself to drink protein drinks and take all my supplements but food does not appeal to me at all. I just made some Crystal Lite with calcium in it. Ron made chicken curry apple salad with crazons, almonds and celery. I ate about 1/2 cup of that. This is the first time I have spent sick days in bed since the DS. Of course, I did spend some time in bed when I had my knees replaced but I wasn't sick.
