Yes ...there are others who have autistic children that have never seen a needle in their lives. The only connection she can find so far is that she had an epidural during labor. She's still trying to put the pieces to gether to figure it all out. Hopefully she'll respond when she sees this post next month.I've recently come across another possibility for autism. The trauma of birth can be enough to cause autism...by trauma, I mean the constant contractions causing the head to pound for hours against your pelvic bone. I took my 3.5 yr old to a craniosacral apt about 2 weeks ago. It was absolutely incredible!! She worked on his head and brain area and described the damage to me. She also mentioned that she had worked on a woman who had multiple seizures per week. After just one session, she didn't have another seizure for another year and a half. Although I don't believe that this is the

trigger for all autism, I do believe that it can play a part for some children.I believe that when you're treating autism, you have to attack it from multiple angles....biomed, spiritual (theta healing, prayer, EFT), energy healing (craniosacral, theta healing, reiki), diet, and therapy. , I'm pretty ignorant with home births. Were you getting regular

heart monitoring of baby during delivery? I ask because I have heard A

LOT of moms talk about how their babies went into fetal distress at

birth. Evidently that's huge in autism. Just wondering if your child

may have had a heart rate go fairly/very low and you not been aware of

it?

My youngest was never immunized and had a scattering of the most vague

behavior -- slight language delay, slight lack of eye contact, but

nothing close to autism. She's now almost 6, just started first grade

two weeks ago, doing great but every now & again I see a rigidity, a

tantrum that gives me pause. I still feel if she got a shot she would

regress into autism. When we were getting her childfind testing for

preschool for her language delay the speech path who treated Allie

said, " I'd bet anything if you had got her shots she'd have autism

just like Allie. " She could see the mildest scattering, too. Dinah was

born in fetal distress, she had to be pulled out with forceps because

I had passed out and we were both near no heartbeat.

I wonder if these newborns born into the world in fetal distress could

get HBOT right off the bat if it would save them from autism.
