Guest guest
Try to put the bat in a box or something so the cat doesn't get ahold of it and call animal control to come and pick it up and have it tested. Rabies is not rampant like in the olden days so chances are it is fine but you might want to check the cat for bit marks while waiting to hear back from animal control. Rabies is transmitted through saliva but I think the animal is not contagious at first so you should have time to find out about the bat before worrying about the cat. Lynette > HELP!!! My children and I came home and found a dead bat on the porch. I have a feeling one of my cats killed it. Now I am freaking out!!!! > What if the bat has rabies and bit my cat. Guest guest
>>>What if the bat has rabies and bit my cat. What if the cat bites us or scratches us. What should I do?<<< First off, Calm Down. The likelyhood of the bat having rabies is SMALL. Then, call Animal Control (or whatever you have where you are) and have them come get the dead bat. They'll test it and you'll know right away if/what you're dealing with. You can put your cat in a crate until you know for sure. Jan G. Guest guest
Really?! Animal control refused to collect a dead wild animal? You would think they would be all over something like that since bats have the reputation for being carriers. I guess that is government bureaucracy for you! Do you have something like a wildlife department or something in your area? Call the vet...what a response... Lynette > Animal control won't get it nor test it. Guest guest
Well I have good news (I guess). When my hubby went to dispose of the bat, it hissed at him and showed it's fangs. So it was very well alive and we are sure the cats did not touch it. We are sure that it is sick (perhaps rabies) because it laid in the same position all days and appeared dead. So hubby killed it and he disposed of it. So I feel much better about the cats now. ~`~Holly~`~ iel (5/96) & Jenavieve (5/02) " Do your eyes light up when your child enters the room? Guest guest
you're right. things like rabies would be an excellent use (where all else fails, which is often). bG > > has anyone ever thought of using godzilla or mpg for treating rabies? > i know that rabies up to now has no known cure if the virus is > activated though the nervous system. > i'm no med lab or a scientist, but given the chance i would like to try > it as an experiment. how? i don't know exactly, but just making a point > that if zilling or using mpg to disable this virus, more people will > probably look at these methods much closer. > thanks. >
Guest guest
Rabies is a different critter than some snake or spider venom, which are poison enzymes that destroy flesh and/or shut down bodily functions. Electricity does seem to disable those enzymes. Spark plug shocks are reported to have prevented snake venom from sickening or killing victims. Never tried it myself. I remember a National Geographic story years ago where they put a fox in a cage in a bat cave, and even though no bat could get into the cage and bite the fox it got rabies. Maybe they spit on him, or the virus is in the air.????? I don't know what that has to do with Godzilla, but I thought it was interesting. Dick rabies has anyone ever thought of using godzilla or mpg for treating rabies? i know that rabies up to now has no known cure if the virus is activated though the nervous system. i'm no med lab or a scientist, but given the chance i would like to try it as an experiment. how? i don't know exactly, but just making a point that if zilling or using mpg to disable this virus, more people will probably look at these methods much closer. thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
I don't have any idea if it would work on rabies, but it works on venomous spider and snake bites. Thing is, not many people would take the chance to see if it worked--or not--when they can get rabies shots that DO work. Rabies shots are painful, but they work. So unless you found someone, like yourself, who just decided on taking a chance with your life, you probably won't be able to test that theory. With the spider and snake bites, they mostly have happened when the person is out in the field and can't get to the doc right away. And of course, with the spiders and snakes, poison sets in immediately and the person starts having an immediate reaction. It's not like that with rabies. There s time for the virus to incubate in the system. Who knows--maybe if you started using the 'zilla right away, after a dog bite, you might stop the virus from getting a foot hold. But again, the only way to tell would be to have the dog killed and tested--then if the dog proved to have rabies, and you didn't get it because you started zapping immediately and constantly while waiting for the rabies report--perhaps that would be a good test. But again--there's probably not much chance of that happening. I would suppose the percentage of people getting rabies today is very small. And then that person would have to be someone who knew, and had, a Godzilla on hand. But maybe when bG's dream of a Godzilla in every house actually becomes a reality, you'd get a better opportunity to test out your idea! :-) Samala, -------Original Message------- Has anyone ever thought of using godzilla or mpg for treating rabies? Guest guest
i live in the philippines which for most of you knows is a " 3rd world " . rabies has not been fully eradicated here and for your information, there are cases of deaths of at least 10-20 per year. once the person shows signs of infection (aero/hydrophobia, drooling, and even barking), the doctor would tell you you have only 48 hours to live, and they have to tie you up because you slowly lose your mind. accordingly, nobody has ever survived when symptoms start to show. i've seen many people die this way here in manila and it's really terrifying to see them slowly die. see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaG4pra9ySA at this point, i wish somebody (though quite impossible) would try this when all else fail...(again next to impossible) who knows when? ....in the philippine provinces, old folks when bitten by dogs either put garlic or put a magnet on top of the wound, maybe there's something to it. ask any filipino! Guest guest
Hi Ted. Not a virus, that I know of. Eczema is usually a sign of clogged liver and/or kidneys. They are the filtering organs for the body, but so is the skin. When the inner organs get clogged, or overworked, then the skin acts as a cleaner. Which means acne, rashes, eczema. Can't say that the Godzilla won't work--you never know! Try it and let us all know. But, are you sure it's eczema? If it's just on the ends of your fingers perhaps there is something you are using that is causing this--like a cream, or a soap or cologne that you put on with your hands and rub in with your fingers? In any case, if you can't eliminate the problem as being from an external thing (allergy) and the Godzilla doesn't work, you might try supporting your liver and kidneys and see what happens. Or, if the Godzilla doesn't work, and you want some relief while you are cleaning the liver and kidneys, let me know and I have some recipes for eczema that might give you some relief. Guest guest
Perhaps you could make a Godzilla and have it on hand in case anyone in your family or circle of friends ever got bit by a dog or animal they thought might have rabies. Then, once bit, I wouldn't wait till the person actually showed signs of rabies--I'd immediately start zapping right after the bite. And continue to do it until how many ever days it takes for the virus to incubate. That's 10 days, isn't it? Or is it 20? And maybe, if you know a doctor, you could convince them to try the zapper on the patient. It certainly wouldn't hurt to try at that point--it would just be the problem of convincing the doctor to actually do it. I have a Godzilla here, and made one for both of my brothers as Christmas presents. I wouldn't be without one--especially if I lived in an area where medical help might not be available, or the best around. The Godzilla could come in real handy. I have access to a great hospital emergency room, good doctors, and I still have a Godzilla in my house. I've used it to heal wounds, stop the pain of scorpions and fire ants, and now using it on my teeth. Kind of a universal emergency kit. Garlic is a strong anti-biotic, anti-virus, anti-everything. Guest guest
Regarding rabies. No one these days ever waits until a person shows signs of rabies to begin treatment, as by then it's too late. Experimenting with this is NOT a good idea, IMHO. Rabies is ALWAYS fatal, and always horrible. If you've got it, the rabies shots are the only sane way to go unless you live in Bangladesh and cannot try anything else. To not take a known antidote to this horrible disease when you are able to is insane. To wait 10 days is to miss the window of opportunity to avoid dying a most horrible death. You must start it within 48 hours, I believe, for it to be effective. This is one disease where there is no graceful window of opportunity to wait and see, and if this doesn't work, we'll try allopathic medicine. If you miss the correct early dosage sequence, and if you're actually infected, then you're dead. Experiment with something else that really would give you time to play with it. I shudder to think of it. If you're bitten by an animal that you THINK has rabies, then the method is to treat it. Period. If you're not sure, then maybe you're lucky and maybe you're not. This is a wonderful alternative in countries where there simply IS no treatment, however. I'd be treating it like crazy if I were in that situation! But I'm not. And I have once had a series of rabies shots, only on the possibility that the animal might have been diseased. I don't think it did, in retrospect, but I'm glad I took the treatment. It is absolutely NOT something to take chances with. And rabies shots are not painful stomach shots these days, they're simple arm shots or butt shots like all others, not any worse than any others anyone has ever had. I'm glad I didn't take any chances with this. I would never advise anyone to mess around, it is horrible. Probably the most dehumanizing disease on the planet, probably worse than advanced syphallis. Please do not try this for rabies if you can get to good medical treatment. Please do not try doing your own brain surgery on yourself. Stick to removing cancers, curing AIDS, and similar such things, for which the Godzilla may well do a better job than what's being done, or use it in conjunction with that. But, until you read SEVERAL TIMES of people in 3rd world countries being cured of rabies by the Godzilla or similar electrical applications, PLEASE get yourself taken care of, as it's 100% effective to get the shots, and known to be 100% fatal if you don't. Cheers, G. [sPAM] Re: rabies Perhaps you could make a Godzilla and have it on hand in case anyone in your family or circle of friends ever got bit by a dog or animal they thought might have rabies.
