Guest guest
Hi Jack. I was talking about the Philippines, not here in the US. The original poster said that many people there still die of rabies. Samala, -------Original Message------- A doctor will never use a Godzilla because it's not FDA approved and if he did his State Board of Medical Quality Assurance would be on him in an instant! Guest guest
>sigh< I wasn't advocating using the Godzilla for rabies UNLESS there was nothing else to do. The one post came from the Philippines where rabies is still fairly rampant, and apparently people don't have access to the shots because many are still dying of it, every year he said. I was just stating that IF there weren't any other alternatives (heavens know I would take the rabies shots and not take a life or death chance on Godzilla, as I said in my first post) then perhaps the Godzilla could help. I had made the statement that hardly anyone dies of rabies anymore, and he wrote and said it happens all the time in the Philippines, and I suppose maybe places in India and elsewhere. That's when I said that it would be a good idea to have a Godzilla on hand and to start using the Godzilla the MOMENT a person got bit, and not wait till signs of rabies show. Starting the zapping immediately might keep the virus from taking a foot hold. I stated that originally. I am NOT advocating waiting till symptoms of Rabies manifest and then " trying " out the Godzilla. I was saying that in a case, like he talked about, of a person already having rabies, and even being Strapped down because they go insane, that perhaps a doctor there could try zapping to see if it would help. And personally, I'd want something stronger than a Godzilla if I was going to try electricity for rabies at that point anyway. Samala, -- Re: rabies Regarding rabies. No one these days ever waits until a person shows signs of rabies to begin treatment, as by then it's too late. Experimenting with this is NOT a good idea, IMHO. Rabies is ALWAYS fatal, and always horrible. If you've got it, the rabies shots are the only sane way to go unless you live in Bangladesh and cannot try anything else. To not take a known antidote to this horrible disease when you are able to is insane. To wait 10 days is to miss the window of opportunity to avoid dying a most horrible death. You must start it within 48 hours, I believe, for it to be effective. This is one disease where there is no graceful window of opportunity to wait and see, and if this doesn't work, we'll try allopathic medicine. If you miss the correct early dosage sequence, and if you're actually infected, then you're dead. Experiment with something else that really would give you time to play with it. I shudder to think of it. If you re bitten by an animal that you THINK has rabies, then the method is to treat it. Period. If you're not sure, then maybe you're lucky and maybe you re not. This is a wonderful alternative in countries where there simply IS no treatment, however. I'd be treating it like crazy if I were in that situation! But I'm not. And I have once had a series of rabies shots, only on the possibility that the animal might have been diseased. I don't think it did, in retrospect, but I'm glad I took the treatment. It is absolutely NOT something to take chances with. And rabies shots are not painful stomach shots these days, they're simple arm shots or butt shots like all others, not any worse than any others anyone has ever had. I'm glad I didn't take any chances with this I would never advise anyone to mess around, it is horrible. Probably the most dehumanizing disease on the planet, probably worse than advanced syphallis. Please do not try this for rabies if you can get to good medical treatment. Please do not try doing your own brain surgery on yourself. Stick to removing cancers, curing AIDS, and similar such things, for which the Godzilla may well do a better job than what's being done, or use it in conjunction with that. But, until you read SEVERAL TIMES of people in 3rd world countries being cured of rabies by the Godzilla or similar electrical applications, PLEASE get yourself taken care of, as it's 100% effective to get the shots, and known to be 100% fatal if you don't. Cheers, G. [sPAM] Re: rabies Perhaps you could make a Godzilla and have it on hand in case anyone in your Family or circle of friends ever got bit by a dog or animal they thought Might have rabies. Then, once bit, I wouldn't wait till the person actually Showed signs of rabies--I'd immediately start zapping right after the bite. And continue to do it until how many ever days it takes for the virus to Incubate. That's 10 days, isn't it? Or is it 20? And maybe, if you know a Doctor, you could convince them to try the zapper on the patient. It Certainly wouldn't hurt to try at that point--it would just be the problem Of convincing the doctor to actually do it. I have a Godzilla here, and made one for both of my brothers as Christmas Presents. I wouldn't be without one--especially if I lived in an area where Medical help might not be available, or the best around. The Godzilla could Come in real handy. I have access to a great hospital emergency room, good Doctors, and I still have a Godzilla in my house. I've used it to heal Wounds, stop the pain of scorpions and fire ants, and now using it on my Teeth. Kind of a universal emergency kit. Garlic is a strong anti-biotic, anti-virus, anti-everything. Guest guest
I think that using a Godzilla immediately after a bite would be a very intelligent thing to do, especially if no rabies shots would be available. Guest guest
Oh, and as a side note--it' isn't always fatal. There was a young girl here in America, I forget which state now, that had rabies and didn't get the shots and lived. The doctors were stunned and can't figure out how she made it through. I'm thinking it just wasn't her time to go. But according to the news story, she is the only one to have survived rabies. Guest guest
Exactly what I was thinking... I was raised in an area where bats are prevalent. I can't even count the number of times we'd have a live bat in one of the classrooms, hanging from the ceiling while we worked, or encountered dead bats here and there. No one was ever evacuated from a classroom or playground or subjected to rabies shots because of coming in contact with a bat, dead or alive, and I can't recall a single person ever becoming sick. Heck, I had one get stuck in my 80's hairdo (I posted about this a few weeks ago) and fly around screeching, trying to get loose, and I never even thought twice about maybe becoming sick from that contact. I've never known anyone who was bitten by a bat either, and in the area I lived in, there was higher probability than lots of other areas of the US. Just more fear mongering in Montana, I'm afraid.... Can you imagine being the mother who exposed all those children and caused the $150,000 in max vaccine bills to be incurred?!?! I wonder how many parents are thinking of pressing charges on that mom? Guest guest
Yeah, just a couple of weeks ago, we had a skunk out and about in our yard, in the daytime. I called someone who removes them, and he asked if our cats got near the skunk, I mentioned the smallest cat was following it. " Because if your cat rubs against it and it is rabid, then your cat could carry it, and then you and your family pet it and then all of you would have to get the rabies shots " . I said the cat wasn't THAT close to it. It was gone before the guy called me back thank goodness, he charges $95 to come and get critters. They sure are programmed to scare people, aren't they? Guest guest
The offending bat may or not have had rabies. If it flew off, there would have been no way to be certain that the bat was infected and her doctor was then obliged to err on the side of caution and proceed with the rabies treatment. In order to determine whether or not MMS can stem rabies is to find an animal with a known ongoing case of rabies and try it on them and see.Betsy From: H <40dayjourney@...> Sent: Mon, January 18, 2010 1:56:30 PMSubject: Re: [ ] rabies If I remember correctly when my friend was bit by a bat, that then flew off, she was treated for rabies. Guest guest
If you are that deep a sleeper, perhaps. I know I would wake up if something brushed against me. I have also read that over 99% of bats do NOT have rabies. Surely, there would be some kind of a mark on the exposed parts of your bodies (I assume face/neck area). If a bat got in your hair, I'm sure you'd wake up. We've have bats in our house before, and even had one tested that got in the bedroom. I, too, freaked out, and drove the bat to the health department in a raging thunderstorm with small children in the car crying for dinner, and pestered the poor man in the lab on the weekend to give me the results (negative). So, I do understand your concern! These iffy situations can be so difficult to sort through. Where is the bat? Keep sending me some good info if you have it. Lucas rabies My husband, daughter, and I just woke up to find a bat near us in our bedroom. I am freaking out because everything I read says we will need rabies shot series since we were sleeping and don't know if it bit us. We did not capture it. Guest guest
I think it's wonderful that you have chosen not to do the vaccines. I was seriously damaged from a rabies vaccine about 4 years ago. I was working as a vet tech and wasn't aware of all the damage vaccines could do yet. I got it so I could work with pets that had no rabies vaccine or an unknown history and a month later started having chronic hives and food allergies as well as contact allergies to my shower water... I stopped going to doctors and took my health into my own hands because they kept telling me I was find (with the other complaints - not the hives) because my blood work was fine. It took about 3 years but I managed to reclaim my health through intensive detoxing and nutrition. As a side note, it is the harshest of all the pet vaccines and a number of pets will get cancer or other growths at the injection site.
