I wanted to make sure you have the recent schedule for what theaters the protests are scheduled for Tropic Thunder today. See below for additional information prepared by The Arc of Georgia.

Also- please take a moment and go to www.r-word.org prepared by Special Olympics. They give everyone and opportunity to sign a quick petition as to why the r-word is wrong! It only takes a minute. They are really trying to get the numbers today with the protests scheduled across the country. It helps form a common voice on the issue from a national standpoint. Also see Mark (Advocacy Director for Sheppard Center) on the issue and comments as well.

Also below is information regarding an upcoming Dept. Human Resources – Developmental Disabilities Advocates Meeting Scheduled.

Dept. Human Resources – Developmental Disabilities Advocates Meeting Scheduled:

Due to travel restrictions, the DD Advocates meeting will not be held in Rome

on Sept. 9th .

The meeting has been rescheduled for Sept. 16th at 2 Peachtree on the 26th Floor

in the Large Conference room from 10:00 to 12 noon.
