>From (CVID)

I've always been pale... but moreso now that I'm usually pretty anemic.

I don't think I ever realized the extent until I was scanning pictures

for my webpage, and looked at a picture of my friend and I in Mexico

(we'd been there 6 days) and I was ridiculously pale compared to her (I

do wear sunscreen, because I just burn, peel, and get pale again, but

she wore sunscreen, too!). There's also a picture of my boyfriend and I

dancing, in which you can see both of our faces and arms together, and I

look like a ghost!

It may have something to do with the genetics of the disease (yet to be

discovered, though as Gail was saying, they're making headway in finding

regions of the genetic code - mostly near HLA coding regions - that may

be associated with CVID). It's true usually that people of a certain

lineage may have a pre-disposition to disease. For example,

Northern/Western Europeans (I believe that's correct) are more prone to

Cystic Fibrosis, or Ashkenazi Jews more prone to Tay-Sachs, just because

of the gene pools they're coming from. So it's often noticed that kids

with CF have fair skin and hair... but that's often a reflection of a

common genetic relationship than the disorder or its effects themselves.

So, maybe we're all related.:-) Gail, does that mean, since we're

family now, we might get to crash at your place for the Disney trips?

Just a thought... <grin>

Dear nah,

Thyroid by prescription? Not Synthroid, I hope.

Armour is a far better choice.

Skin condition reflects the condition of the liver and colon.

Do a series of liver cleanses and bowel cleanses. Add quality,

unheated oil to your diet, eats lots of green leafy vegetables,

carrots, beet juice, black tea with lemon slices, and fresh,

raw nuts.

The best way to darken your skin would be some judicious suntanning,

which would have the added benefit of providing Vitamin D, which will

help with calcium absorption and other health issues as well.

Best of Health!

Hello,

I have a question that may be out of left field. I am Shoshone and

Irish/English. My siblings look native, I look Irish. I have red hair

skin and coloring. I would like to know if there is anyway to darken my

skin a little bit without lotions?

I just found out that I have extremely low thyroid function and have

just had my prescription changed. Plus, I have liver and gallbladder

challenges. My skin is dry, thin and itchy too.

I am interested to see what you all come up with.

Thank you,

nah

Dear friends,

Thank you for the advice as to my skin color and how to darken it

naturally.

Saul, in answer to your question, yes I am taking 2 grains of armour

thyroid.

Also, you advised sunbathing. I have never had a tan my whole life. I

have only broken blood vessels when I have tried to sunbathe.

Does anyone know how to obtain Orobronze in the U.S.? Someone stated

that it is available in Canada by prescription and produces a tan.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my question. I am still interested

in your input into this question.

Thanks everyone,

nah

This may be off the topic, yet I have been studying with a man who has

researched for over 35 years, the benefits of eating raw fat, like the dairy

fat in raw milk and raw cheese and raw butter, etc.. The fat is natural,

organic, and never heated above body temperature. Spectrum olive oil is

supposed to be guaranteed to be cold pressed and never heated above 96

degrees; this is another raw fat source, as are avocados. Anyway the diet is

called the primal diet and there is a yahoo egroup for people who eat this

way. The raw fat is very healing for the body and allows people to tan with

out burning and keep a tan longer and deeper.

Blessings, Daleena.
