Guest guest
Do you think he would at least be open to the idea of just running the test? My first appointment with him is on Dec. 5th and I would really like to get a full picture. Chelation is *not* my first choice of action as I agree that healing the immune system would obviously help the body excrete better but I would like to track it and see if it's actually happening. I don't want to be years down the road and find out I was missing a critical piece of the puzzle. If not, I could certainly do it through our ped or a lab but (in a perfect world) I would like to have it all done with the support of the doctor. Guest guest
Cheryl... I don't know... you could always ask. He has very strong opinions about things and will not hesitate to share them with you... that's for sure! Be prepared for " Why Not Chelation 101 " if you ask . It is my understanding that he will not treat children who are being chelated, he is so against it. By the way, he has always been generous as to allow us to audiotape our appointments and it has been extremely helpful. I would highly recommend taking a little tape recorder to the initial appointment. I remember leaving the office the first time with my head spinning... there was so much information presented that I couldn't really take it all in. Having the tape is a great review. Best of luck! But from his writings, I don't get the feeling that he doesn't believe there is a possibility of toxicity. It sounds more like he feels that when the immune system is functioning properly, the body will excrete metals as it is supposed to. I know how he feels about chelation and although I don't disagree with him, I don't think I'm as vehemently against it as he is. > > *** Have you read his papers on the neuroimmunedr or > .net sites? Would you mind explaining it to me? I'm not really sure how it is a non-issue with . I have read the articles but he doesn't really seem to say much about it other than not to do it. > > **** The more you learn about , the less you may > care about metals. Again, I would *love* an explanation on this. I really don't want to ask Dr. G if it's going to cause a maelstrom of hail and thunder from the heavens if you can explain it. > If this will be an obsessive issue > for you (trust me I understand obsessiveness), again > you may wish to ask your local ped to order it to > " humor " you (that's usually what they feel like > they're doing if they order those tests) and track it > that way. See, and I don't really understand what labs are important to him and why. I know he does things much differently than a DAN! and that's kind of why I chose to see him but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around what really is important with his protocol and why other things aren't important. DAN! is fairly simple to understand as it's all over the place on the net but there is really very little about other than his websites. > Have > you already had the workup? > No, I'm assuming he will order those when I get there. Please do e-mail me offlist. I absolutely don't want to start off on the wrong foot with him. I'm not interested in getting into massive debates with him that only cause him to lack respect for me. I've heard so many things about him, good and bad, that I'm a bit nervous I'll piss him off (I'm good at that) but I'm committed to giving his protocol a try as I really believe that my son fits. I also don't want to walk out his office pissed off at *him* (I'm good at that, too). So any answers you could give me that could avoid me causing conflict would be great! Thanks so much, Cheryl

Guest guest
Is there any proof/testimonials that MMS removes heavy metals?
