That is correct. If you want to have high concentrations of chlorine

dioxide in water, you need to chill the water.

The beauty of the chlorous acid solution is that only a small amount of free

chlorine dioxide is in the solution at any time. As it gets used up or

dispersed, more is generated as the chlorous acid breaks down. It's kind of

like a time release on demand generator.
