Guest guest
I know I have found THE BEST group of people on the internet!!!!!!!!! You are all just awesome! I was also in tears this morning reading the posts about the TB'athon! You all should be very proud of yourselves! I don't know who it was that said you carry yourself differently since starting TB, but my brother in law said that to me, that I carry myself totally different since starting! I know I have but to hear someone else notice it, makes you feel twice as good!!!! I want to get a bag and gloves also. It looks like it would be so much fun and good for the stress levels, too!!!!!!!! LOL Amy!!!!! You go girl!!!!!!!!! Congratulations on your marathon!!!!!!! Well, my run/walk this morning was good! I did find out I am not as good as I would have liked to think I am though! I am lucky I can do 1/1, but that is what I am going to do until I work myself up. I have to remember that I am just starting to run for the first time in my life. I just do so good with the TB that I want to do good with everything. OH well, such is life!!!!!!! The method of running/walking definately makes a huge difference though!!!! Thank you soooo much for the advice!!!!!!! I really do appreciate it!!!!!!!!! Have a gread day everyone!!!! I really do appreciate > it!!!!!!!!! , The run/walk thing will really help you as you continue to run! Like you said..it's important to remember that you are just starting out and that you are going to continue to see progress! Just don't try to progress too quickly (either with speed or distance) in the beginning...it's really easy to injure yourself! If you can only run 1 minute and then walk 1 minute....then just continue to do that for now. As your body gets used to running and you start feeling like you could run more....increase your running time to 2 minutes, etc. Actually, I think that Jeff Galloway recommends starting off walking with a one minute run if you are totally new to running...so that might be something you could do. Like walk 3 minutes and run 1 minute, etc. Then, as you get better and want to run more..slowly increase your running time to walk 3 minutes/run 2 minutes, etc until finally you are able to run a couple minutes and then walk one minute! Good luck! And keep us filled in on your progress That's so great that your Brother-In-Law noticed your increased confidence! It's always nice when others notice those types of things
