The veterinary advised not to give bones. Thanks Arie> Hi Aria, If you wanted to give it a go, here are some websites to start learning with: http://www.rawfed.com/why.html http://www.rawdogfood.com.au/benefits-of-raw.html http://www.rawmeatybones.com/petowners/feedyourdogrmb.php And there are too, here is a good one: http://pets./group/rawfeeding. Our pets (just like us) live longer and healthier if we put in what their bodies are designed to consume :-) regardsKirsty

The veterinary recomends surgery. Has anyone in this list treated an animal with this kind of problem with MMS?> <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Posted for a friend who tried to email you but couldn't find your email address: Subject: Plugged Anal Glands in Dogs - My dogs, 3 - 2 large, one small, never had anal gland problems until I contracted an epidemic parasitic organism which they also caught, that is terribly difficult to get rid of. I have been fighting it for two years now. I have learned how to express my dogs' anal glands and do so twice a week or so. I make up MMS (30 drops MMS to 150 drops apple cider vinegar) in a gallon jar and that is the only drinking water I offer. There are ponds outside, but now the dogs will come in to drink because they prefer the MMS water. I mix Diatomacious Earth and Betonite clay, Jarrow MSM, and Colon Cleanse into canned dogfood and they munch on that after they have received their meals of raw meat with bones (chicken, turkey, beef back ribs, etc.) which they get every day. Hope this helps somewhat, Pwyll
