Hello Arie,

Part 1.

The whole purpose of mixing the 5% sodium chlorite solution is that it is much

safer to handle, easier to measure, and the measurements are more consistent.

If none of these aspects interest you, don't bother with the 5% solution.

You actually would use 4.1 drops of water to 1 drop of 22.4% sodium chlorite.

This assumes you are using the same dropper for both the sodium chlorite and

water, and that you are allowing the drops to fully form. You can get by by

rounding it down to 4 drops of water. That will yield a little weaker solution,

but it should be in the ball park.

To activate this with citric acid you have two possibilities. One is to add 5

drops of 10% citric acid. The other is to add 1 drop of 50% citric acid.

50% citric acid is used in industry, and the test results I review are based

upon this activation. When using 10% citric acid, the tests come close, but are

a little different. The chlorous acid produced when using 50% citric acid seems

to be a little more effective than that produced when using 10% citric acid.

Part 2.

I am not a medical professional, so I can't advise you on how much to take.

I advise people to proceed with caution and to be sure to monitor for signs of

oxidative stress. You also may want to review what people have done with

stabilized oxygen. Stabilized oxygen is a 2.5 - 3.5% sodium chlorite solution,

so you would have to go a little lower than what they are reporting to use.

why 50% and not 10%.
