It isn't true that when you eat food, that it should initiate peristalsis and something should go out, since it can take up to 48 hours hours for food to reach the large colon. Transit time varies according to the types of foods eaten. If you consume a diet high in fibres (carbs, including grains) it speeds up transit time, which is not good since less nutrients are absorbed. On this program the transit time is much longer because there are less carbs (fibres) and the high " good " fats slow digestion so more nutrients can be absorbed like they should. Guest guest
> > Is anyone else having intestinal issues and what did you do??? Hi, yes I'm having intestinal issues but most of that seems the result of gluten intolerance that developed while I had Lyme (started after 1 year AB course). It does get worse sometimes when taking large amounts of Buhner herbs, but I could not really pinpoint the source of the problem. Buhner suggests to take more vitamin C to compensate; I have been using homemade pills with japanese knotweed plus vitC powder most of the time. Guest guest
Knotweed, I saw you ask a question about Vit C also - I occasionally do the Salt/C with my Buhner herbs and use the Ester C - I can tolerate about 6g a day of each about every 3 days after noon usually. Sometimes I just use the chewable Cs so I can keep them at my desk (puts 2 in mouth). Actually I have had to back off most all " pills " lately as it has been so hard on my gut. Don't know how you guys do it, day after day. When ya feel great, its all worth it, but when I'm feeling crappy...well...not so easy. > > > > > Is anyone else having intestinal issues and what did you do??? > > Hi, > > yes I'm having intestinal issues but most of that seems the result of gluten intolerance that developed while I had Lyme (started after 1 year AB course). > It does get worse sometimes when taking large amounts of Buhner herbs, but I could not really pinpoint the source of the problem. Guest guest
Hi Doctors are not 'experts' on disease or diet. Knowledgable, yes. 1 - Doctors PRACTICE medicine.....you and I are their guinea pigs. 2 - Even good doctors cannot keep up with all the new research and information being presented everyday. 3 - Everyones body is different, thus the different approaches to both medical applications and diet. This is why its so important for us to do our own research, and listen to our bodies. Most people go to the doctor thinking the doctor has all the answers, and will heal them. Doctors can and do help, [thankfully], but keep doctors where they belong....an additional resource to us taking care of ourselves. Guest guest
Here, here Don - my sentiments exactly. I truly believe in the proactive approach to health care. Don't even really expect the Dr. to know who you are and certainly not what is written down per se in that file they may have or even the computer program they look up. They can not humanly remember everything about you!! Geez, even last week, I was in to see mine complaining about how much time it was going to take to even get an Ultra Sound. She says - on what??? I said my kidneys this time, they've already done a scope of my bladder. But, you had that last year and your kidneys were fine. Well, says I, then have you figured out yet why I have this horrible blood discharge and it's been going on now for over two years???? Then, next, I said you might as well load me up on my prescription list for another 3 months and please, please remember that I take 1 - 1-1/2 sleeping pills at night and don't limit me because it's too rough on me.Nope, I surely do not think a Dr. of any kind is an expert on disease and agree that they could not possibly know everything. My GP is really just the lady that I spend the most time with and she's the one that should be farming me out to the specialist that might know a reason that something is going on.In fact, the Dr. that covered for her while she was on vacation, decided that I should have an Ultra Sound on two painful lumps I have on either side of my belly button. He put them down to possible hernia's. Now, she tells me they are too high for hernia's and thinks that they are some kind of hardened fat or something. Well, says I, good think that I'm going for Ultra Sound then because they are painful and certainly limit my activities.Gloria Hi Doctors are not 'experts' on disease or diet. Guest guest
> > ---- Hi Bee, > ---- Bee i was curious to know how one knows when his/her liver is functioning properly. I have no pains down there at all, was gonna do another coffee enema today, but unsure of my liver is damaged or not. +++Hi Caine. A coffee enema procedures include doing dry skin brushing just before the enema, which helps your lymphatic system release toxins too, so it isn't just for the liver. Review the coffee enema article, which explains it. Bee
Guest guest
I do appreciate how freely everyone shares their experience and knowledge about MMS. I know a lot more about MMS today than I did a few weeks ago when I first got here. At this point, my only reluctance is that I can't seem to find much on the liver toxicity potential with MMS. On Dr Humbles Q & A page there is scant information on this issue. Does anyone have info on this? Links? Also, what's the difference between MMS1 and MMS2? > > Thanks everyone >

Do things that help both of them which are: coffee enemas and dry skin brushing or some other mild form of exercise. That's good you have some hope of life my friend. Onward & upward!
