Family Fun Day - Dec. 13 in Loganville

FACES Autism Support Group is anticipating an exciting day of Family Fun at our 3rd Annual Jingle Jog for Autism 5K and Reindeer Dash, to be held on Saturday, December 13 at West Walton Park in Loganville, beginning at 10:30 a.m., with the race at 12 noon. This year, we have Classic Race Services to organize our event and we are part of the 2008 Grand Prix race series. s, strollers and pets are also welcome! Join Santa, Mrs. Claus, Elmo, Mr. SNIPS, and others at the Santa's playground area. Pictures will also be available with Santa! This annual event is our fundraiser for the FACES Summer Camp program for children 4-22 who are on the autism spectrum. This year's camp theme "FACES Goes to the County Fair" will be filled with fun activities and culminate with a county fair that is sure to excite and please all who attend. More information about camp will be posted on www.georgiafaces.info in early March 2009, when registration begins. Participants can register online at Jingle Jog for Autism on www.Active.com and register an individual or team! Mail in registrations are also available, see registration forms attached, or online at www.georgiafaces.info under 3rd annual Jingle Jog for Autism where forms can be downloaded and mailed in. Participants receive a long sleeve tshirt designed by local teen, Guzman (a senior at Loganville High School who has autism), goodie bags, free food and more. Additionally, there are drawings for door prizes at the end of the event. Festive wear is encouraged, jingle bells will be given for your shoes, so you can "jingle all the way". Deadline extended to guarantee a tshirt is 12/6/09, so register today!

If you don't want to walk/run in the event, you can still enjoy the activities of the day with your family. This year, we have expanded our Santa's Playground with bouncers from Mardi Gras Party Center and Bounces by Bob (business run by a 16 year old with autism). Local vendors are also setting up their wares for a fun shopping experience, space is available for $30 donation to FACES and all donations are tax-deductible under the 501c3 non-profit guidelines.
