Guest guest
Anyone here have a child/teen that developed TMJ or jaw problems after starting Zoloft? My son started Zoloft and by the 2nd day his jaw was popping loudly and was sore. The soreness went away but the popping is still there even after discontinuing the meds about 3 weeks ago. I told the doctor I thought it was the Zoloft & he disagreed. I contacted others on another forum & they said it could be the Zoloft. I contacted two pharmacists and they weren't sure. I read somewhere that Zoloft can cause jaw problems. On top of it all, I took Zoloft a few years ago and had to stop after only a week because of the severe jaw pain & stiffness. If you know of anyone else having experienced similar problems with Zoloft, please share. We went to the dentist the other day & he said it was TMJ, but I didn't get a chance to discuss with him if it could be from the meds. My main concern is that this might be permanent and irreversible. Thanks, Jackee
