Guest guest
Hi everyone, my name is Dana and it has been 5 years or so since I was online with you all. I had my DS about 7 years ago. About 18 months after that I had a hernia and tummy tuck with Dr K. Needless to say 10 days after that I had a blood clot in my left leg. So please if you have just had surgery, walk, walk, walk, and then walk some more. You do not want a blood clot. Very painful. I am going to have to practice what I preach here real soon. I am going back into surgery with Dr K. He is going to go in and redo my stomach (make it smaller) and shorten my common channel.(I think) After my first surgery I lost 170 lbs. I started out at about 412 lbs and at my lowest I weighed 220. I then went up to about 240 and got pregnant. My pregnancy was wonderful.(With out the DS I would not of been able to get pregnant) Never gained any weight, until the very end and I think I gained a few pounds. After I had my son, I weighed less than when I got pregnant(about 230). But as soon as I had him, I started gaining weight. Anyway long story short (too late) I am back up to 314 lbs and still gaining. I feel very much like a failure, but Dr K tells me it happens to some women after the have babies. Any way I am heading down to Delano, on Tuesday for pre op and on Wed the 2nd of April, I will have surgery. I am getting real nervous about now. It is tuff going through surgery, but I am very healthy and feel great other than my excess weight, so I am confident that all will go well. I can use all your prayers though. Thanks!! I will post again and let you know how I am doing after I am home. Good Luck to you all!! Dana
Guest guest
Dana - You'll be in our prayers as you prepare for surgery... isn't it a blessing that you can turn back to Dr K without being given a guilt trip! He loves you and so do we. Bobbe in Paso. 285=24. 3/03. 171=16.
