Guest guest
Hello Everyone, If you are interested in having your toys, furniture, dishes/dinnerware or other items tested for lead take a look at www.exposinglead.com. We serve the greater Atlanta area. Exposing Lead utilizes XRF technology to test for lead; see www.innovxsys.com for more information on the analyzer. XRF is accurate, provides immediate results and is non-destructive. We can test up to 100 items in an hour. A typical home takes 3 hours. Some common items that contain lead are; toys, bounce houses(vinyl), most dinnerware many manipulatives, contact paper/shelf paper. Yellow is the most common color in toys, but red, orange, green and brown also are found to contain lead. A good resource is www.healthytoys.org to see an extensive list of childrens items and their results. Having found lead in our daughters, we found this to be the best method to rapidly test all our items.
