Guest guest
Hi Barb. Before your son was on different meds, for bipolar, am I remembering that right? I haven't actually done any research on this, so it is just something I am wondering about. If a teen isn't really bipolar, but put on meds for bipolar, would there still be positive differences or could it potentially make them worse? My bipolar dd clearly has positive results when she is cycling and we adjust meds. They will stop her cycling. In your son's case where the diagnosis wasn't certain, could the meds cause him to get worse? That sure wasn't very clear! Well, anyway, I am so glad he is doing well right now and hope it continues. We really can't believe the change in our son, and keep waiting for things to shift back. After begging to have medications reduced or removed for months, finally his just going off on his own seems to have brought us some clarity. As always time will tell, but it's almost not to be believed. Yesterday he was polite, kind, friendly, interested in others, in short the kid we used to know before ocd, and esp before drugs; and he was NOT reactive, angry, or weird(for lack of a better descriptive)descriptive)<WBR>, all the stuff we just got used to de day, just gone. So I go back to my original thought, aliens came in the night and switched our son!!! I'll keep this one though. There is no explanation for this. You would not think that 5mg of celexa could affect this change and we've changed nothing else. It's a mystery, but one we'll embrace. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, back at you! Hope you are taking care of you! Hugs! Barb > > > > > > > > > > > > Okay, wish us luck today. Josh is going in to take his > > driver's > > > > test > > > > > > this afternoon.
