Guest guest
Any idea on the 5% stabilized product. I got some from my chemist contact in Okla. He said stabilized 5% did not break down in light, even comes in non colored opaque bottle. Not supposed to break down outside in sunlight in water dishes. Could never get an answer on the process to stabilize it (whiz bang?) It has a strong salty taste and will burn like the dickens if you use it full strength on wounds or orally J Inactivated chlorine dioxide doesn’t burn like the stabilized 5%. Thanks, rose

Guest guest
Hello Rose, Stabilized chlorine dioxide solutions are stable because of the PH. As long as the PH is above 8, they remain stable. When they drop below 8 the become activated. The activated solutions release free chlorine dioxide and eventually get totally used up. I recommend keeping all of these solutions out of UV light. The higher the concentration the more it is effected by UV light. 5% may only slightly be effected by UV light, but it is still effected. Also, UV light is supposed to be able to activate sodium chlorite, but I have done no testing on that. Tom --- In , " palulukon " <palulukon@...> wrote: > > > > Any idea on the 5% stabilized product.
