Guest guest
Hello Charmaine, MMS2 is calcium hypochlorite powder. If it comes into contact with hydrochloric acid (stomach acid), it produces chlorine gas, if it contacts water, it forms hypochlorous acid. Hypochlorous acid is the active chemical that is used to chlorinate water. Vitamin C neutralizes chlorine dioxide, chlorine, chlorous acid and hypochlorous acid. I think that if you want to take all of this you need to develop a timing or pulsing strategy. You may also want to decide what has the best possibility of working for your situation and let that dominate what you take. You can throw the other stuff in as you find time knowing that if you miss taking some it is not a big deal in your treatment. Guest guest
Tom... What happens when a hypochlorous acid solution comes in contact with stomach acid. Does it release free chlorine within the stomach? > > > Hello Charmaine, > > MMS2 is calcium hypochlorite powder. Guest guest
Hello Mflynn44, If you take calcium hypochlorite and add water, you form hypochlorous acid. If you then add HCl to that, there isn't much change, but it is possible for a little bit of free chlorine to be released. This is the same thing that happens when you add acid to sodium chlorite. The chlorous acid is reasonably stable after activation, and adding HCl to it only releases a small amount of chlorine dioxide. Guest guest
Hi Tom & Everyone!!! Tom, THANKS for all the great explanations! They are really helping me to understand the MMS and fine tune my program! Question regarding Vitamin C and MMS5 or plain 28% MMS, unactivated: What is the window (before and after) for taking vitamin C with these? I thought it was 30 minutes but I may be wrong. Thanks!!!
