allergic to citric acid would be my guess, switch to organic lemon, squeeze and use the juice to activate instead of citric acid.

& #65279;Someone please answer this question.1. What might be the reason my mouth burns (not bad, but always aware of it) for more than twelve hours after drinking a ten drop to 2 drop of citric acid, with one minute activation?2. Does the MMS, both products, go bad towards the last half of the bottle. (I keep the products in the kitchen cupboard away from the light. Should it be kept in the fridge? & #65279;I am an author of published copyrighted e-books. I hold the right to give away all, part or portions of the material in my books, with conditions. First you are not letting it activate long enough, so you are not really getting the benefits you expect from it.

Second, are you holding the liquid in your mouth? I would say you must be sensitive to the activated MMS. Have you tried it without activating it--at a 5% solution rate? Try that and see how you feel.

Make sure you drink a LOT of water after, swishing it around in your mouth. Perhaps that will help.

For the second question--MMS is good for 2 to 4 years. Take a few drops and activate it with some acid. Let it sit for at least 3 minutes. If you smell chlorine and/or it turns yellowish, then it is still working. If it doesn't do those things it is no longer of any use to you.

If you are keeping your citric acid in the closet instead of the fridge, you need to look and see if it is spoiled. Perhaps that is causing your mouth problems. My citric acid spoiled and got an actual scum on top of it because I didn't refrigerate it. Do NOT refrigerate the MMS, but DO refrigerate the citric. If it's old (like more than a few weeks) throw it out and make a new batch.

Why are you using it incorrectly, and why would you be surprised that

your results are different from what others report or is expected when

you do?

That said - ten drops of *what strength* MMS? 20 drops of *what

strength* of citric acid?

Do you mean the *activated* MMS? It should be made/used immediately, do

not try to store activated MMS.

If you mean unactivated MMS, yes, it should store for a long time, as

long as it is kept in a cool, dark place. Direct sunlight will 'kill' it.

As for citric acid, I was told it should store ok, but I've never had

any luck doing so, something always starts growing in mine, so I just

make very small batches and use it up within a week...

Thats interesting - I've always kept both bottles (citric acid & MMS in the fridge) I thought you were supposed to! My MMS bottle is half full, I use it only when needed, I wonder if its still ok to use? Should I just store in a dark cupboard?ValFrom: <gaiacita@...> Sent: Tue, 8 June, 2010 2:57:10Subject: Re: [ ] MMS does it go bad?

Take it out and test it to be sure it's still good. The test I mentioned in my last post--about adding acid and seeing if the chlorine smell and yellow color happen.

But Jim said to keep it out of the fridge because even bright light is bad for MMS and every time you open the fridge the light goes on. One hour of direct sunlight can destroy the MMS, and many hours of even natural or lamp light can destroy it. He said keep it in a dark area.

I said keep the citric in the fridge because if you mix up a full bottle of it, I have had it spoil while setting out for more than 2 weeks. Because if this I don't advise anyone keeping their citric out if you are like me. I'm time telling deficient--meaning I have hardly any concept of how many days from one thing to the next. So I simply can't keep track of the 2 weeks where I KNOW the citric will be safe. Which means it's simply easier for me to mix up a large batch of it (because I'm lazy and don't want to make it every time I use the MMS) and keep it refrigerated.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have tried the lemon and in my taster just

doesn't like it at all, but I very much like the apple cider vinegar. I think I

have had the citric acid too long and it is now bad.

Yes, it is the activation that I screwed up on and as well by what others

have said the citric acid is maybe bad.

For the first eight weeks or so I was mixing the 28% SC with 50 % citric on one

to one and activating for three minutes. It must have killed off a load of the

Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria (the neuro toxin producers)as my head cleared up

so much and I was so hopeful that it would kill them all,in spite of them hiding

in the macrophage cells. So, I will now try with apple cider vinegar and

activate for ten minutes or should that one be three minutes?

I have not tried it at a 5% solution rate and may go back to my notes to see how

that is done.

Thanks for your information.

I listened to Humble's cd and he recommends not using vinegar if one has lyme.

I'd still try the 10 minutes. And make sure to rinse your mouth out with plain water--or maybe even a little baking soda in water, to counter the acidity.

When I was adding white vinegar and rinsing/brushing with the AMMS my teeth became super sensitive. I had to stop doing it--it was just too much acid for my mouth and I wasn't (didn't know at the time) rinsing with plain water after. That's how I learned about mouth pain from AMMS.

Yes, I have his cd, he says vinegar in Lyme patients causes yeast to flare up. I have never heard this before and at times I use the vinegar with no problem.

My friend with Lyme used citric acid and her throat burned badly so I assumed she has a citric acid allergy.

I try to stick to organic lemons.

Does he say why? I have Lyme but activate with citric acid. I'm just curious.
