Guest guest
It doesn't matter; the only problem with adding sugar to boiling water is that it might splash and burn you if you aren't careful. sugar > > hi, could somebody please enlighten me,some people say to put the sugar > in the water & bring the water to the boil, yet others say do not add > the sugar to boiling water, which is correct. > many thanks. > les. > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Les, I boil the sugar for two minutes in the water for the brew, but that's because I've found impurities in the sugar I get where I live. I daren't chance introducing impurities into my KT.My system has never harmed my finished product. All the best, Terry Mc Queen sugar hi, could somebody please enlighten me,some people say to put the sugar in the water & bring the water to the boil, yet others say do not add the sugar to boiling water, which is correct. many thanks. les. Guest guest
Hi, what says is absolutely true, I once dropped all the sugar into the boiling water and it splashed, burning my wrist. But I was able to heal the burn fast with KT applied topically and a compress made with a piece of Scoby. Guest guest
Hi Les - I've tried it both ways, and both work fine. I tend to prefer adding sugar to the water just as I take it off the boil. The water's hot enough to dissolve the sugar w/o additional stirring, which to me is the main advantage (one less utensil to clean). If you pour the sugar in a slow stream, you won't get splashed. Try it both ways. The brew will turn out fine either way. You'll find lots of other variations in brewing instructions, but just experiment and see what works best for you. Best wishes, Nori > > hi, could somebody please enlighten me,some people say to put the sugar in the water & bring the water to the boil, yet others say do not add the sugar to boiling water, which is correct.
