Guest guest
Hi, We have been doing SCD with my almost three year old ASD son for 3 1/2 months. We have seen some amazing things on the way. He is much more attentive, great eye contact, calm and affectionate. He is also on supplements (SCD legal). He has had some horrible healing regression but for the most part is doing great. My concerns are he is not having consistent formed stools. He is also mouthing and eating/licking everything he can get his tiny hands on. Is he not getting enough nourishment? Is he getting yeasty from fruits? I am so confused and would appreciate any advice. All the best, Amber
Guest guest
Hi, My daughter, 5 1/2 y.o., has been on SCD for 1 month. All is well. She has had quite a few good days and some better bowel's. I have been doing well with all of it, until probably the past week. She is sticking to the diet just fine and dandy. I think it is in her best interest (for us) to continue to do SCD diet, yet NOT SCD legal supplements. I think the diet, and the right supplementation is what is going to get her where she needs to be. I think her gut will heal. In my heart I know the supplementation is where it is at. That part is too strict, considerting the 75 bottles of vitamin supplementation purchased for her better heatlh. I just can't let that slide. I am just working on the right combination for her. We will continue the diet. Just not SCD approved supplementation. Now that is my 2 cents on my side of the story.... NOW... was your son having formed stools before the scd diet? It sounds like maybe you could find a bowel detox, if he is mouthing everything, there is probably more stuff trying to get out.I am sure it must be frustration on his part. Why is he not getting enough nourishment? What types of things are you feeding him regularly? Maybe too much fruit is not good. I am still trying to cook most of the fruit and vegetables for my little one. The only fresh fruit she is getting yet is blueberries, ovelry ripe bananas, and maybe a pear. everything else is cooked and well cooked so its easier on the digestive system. ~ " agreelis " wrote: > > Hi, > > We have been doing SCD with my almost three year old ASD son for 3 1/2 > months.
