Guest guest
Hello all...Since my surgery 4 1/2 months ago, my hernia that Dr. K repaired but reformed has been growing. I now have what I call, " my little alien baby " , lol. I'm wondering if the growing hernia is changing my absorptive amount. It's really grown a lot more within the last 4 weeks, and my weight loss has slowed, so I'm wondering if they're related. Also, there were some posts about GNC Women's Time release vitamins. I was wondering if anyone did the 30 min. test? Does it dissolve quickly? I'm just so tired I'm wondering about the B vitamin time release and if it's helpful. I go to school, work, and I'm a single mom, member of the student senate, on committees at church, etc. Basically, I'm tired! Any answers are appreciated! Guest guest
Heidi No...having a hernia does not increase your absorptive amount. But there can be a relationship between your weightloss slowing down and the hernia. Basically with a hernia your bowels have more Space to spread out, so you can eat more, you eat more...you eat more your weightloss slows down. Time released vitamins are not our best friend. A time release capsule/tablet may dissolve in water quickly but the VITAMIN is treated to release at a later time. You may get some of the benefit of the vitamin but not all, As part of the vitamin would make it into the sewer system before it is released into a DS digestive system. Your body should be able to absorb the regular B vitamins. Sometimes it is normal to be tired...but if you have even the smallest inkling that your tiredness isn't justified then perhaps it is time for new lab work to see if anything is going on.
