Guest guest
When my dd was hospitalized a few years ago with severe OCD she was seeing things. She was in psychosis and when meds are added at a high dose sometimes it happens. She was seeing flowers and broken glass. They also taught schizo with OCD but it wasn't the case. As far as not washing when you are very sick the last thing on your mine is to take care of yourself. My dd is better she still doesn't brush her hair correctly and has always a ponytail that is full of knots she wears the same bra all the time that doesn't make her schizo. You know what she ask me a few years ago when she was in a reassurance phase. Did I kill Mozart? Talk about scary! What had happened she had watched Simpsons and Mozart was killed but even though I tried to explain that Mozart was born in the 1400 or whatever year she still wanted reassurance. This phase is now gone. Did the psych thing that your child might be in a depression or a manic stage. I also take meds and last year I became manic due to meds. I have a bipolar brother even though I am not bipolar I have anxiety but the psych says he has to give me low dose of meds. I became high and I was seeing things cars with people following me ect... As of this day I still believe it happened even though it is my mine that made me see things that was followed by a major depression. I am not schizo. I would go for a second evaluation for your child. It could be schizo but it could be severe OCD mania psychosis ect...
Guest guest
Dear : Hmm... this sentence that your dd was seeing things but only has OCD is intriguing. My son (whose diagnosis is severe ocd/anxiety) reported seeing things a few times. But he did not seem scared at all, and the docs have assured me that a child does not " go in and out of psychosis " as quickly as my son reported -- as in, he would report seeing people following him or sitting there with us, but then be fine enough to go out for the evening. Does this sound like what you experienced or your dd experienced? I worry so about him. But I never know what he is angling for (as in, real report of symptoms, or report to try and gain something -- like a day off from school that first time, or a day off from the homebound teacher this week). It is much harder to help him when I can't trust him. mm mm > > When my dd was hospitalized a few years ago with severe OCD she was > seeing things.
