Hi everyone, sorry if this is a cross-post for anyone. I normally lurk around here, but I was wondering about " diagnostic tests " for lack of a better term. When we were looking for a diagnosis our now 10 yo son, we had him assesed both independently and by the school district at roughly the same time. The school administered both the Woodcock and WISC-IV (I think it was) and the clinical psychologist the WISC-IV and ADOS and a few other tests. All this happened back in 1st grade (he's now in 5th). When the 3 year re-eval came around last year, the school said " we all know the Asperger's/ADHD hasn't gone away and he continues to need services. " Do your schools normally readminister tests like the Woodcock- and WISC-IV at times like these? We just recently found a social skills group for him that while outside the school, is actually paid for by the school district, and he receives OT and PT through the school so we don't really see specialists outside the school setting. Do your specialists suggest this sort of testing at regular intervals as a means of tracking progress/regression. His school has quarterly interims and regular MAP testing, and they indicate very slight academic progress (actually he is so far ahead of his classmates, the trouble is finding challenging curriculum for him, since on the MAP testing he is testing, in his " worst " subject at HS Freshman level and at best at early college level). We've just been having a lot of behavioral/stress/sensory issues lately and I'm trying to figure out what the underlying and most critical issue is that is going on with him right now. I quit my job for 3 months to be his Para at school while the school scrambled to hire one because without me or a para he would just hide in the assistant principal's office all day. He'd do the classwork and get the homework to bring home, but he wouldn't go into the classroom except to get the work. I'm sorry this is a bit rambling, I'm just trying to figure out if there is some bit glaring thing I'm missing here, and going back through my notes and such I realized I didn't have any recent test data (aside from school work). So yeah, I think that's it! ;) Thanks for any input!

Tara
