i have been suffering from gut dysbiosis for decades. i was constantly sick with

headaches and sinus problems. i had taken over 80 rounds of antibiotics in those

three decades chasing after what i thought were sinus infections. I had a ct/ivp

for kidney stones in 2006. after that i completely changed my life and my diet.

at the time, my ct scan (with contrast) showed no sign of gallbladder disease

nor any stones. i also had a parasite called blastocystis hominis that has been

in my gut since traveling to costa rica in the mid 1990's. i had stool analysis

done in 2000 and 2002 which both showed moderate blastocystis. i had the stool

studies repeated in 2004 and 2005 which showed no blastocystis whatsoever (i can

only imagine it must have been living dormant or symbiotically in my gut). there

was some bad bacteria also, but not overwhelming and i had high levels of good

bacteria. i also had a pretty good case of candida i imagine. i began taking

mms over a year ago at different dosages at different times. at first i had felt

better than i had felt in over 30 years. then at higher levels, i always had

trouble and backed off to more moderate levels, but stayed on it for the full

year. i recently tried the new protocol of three drops every hour for eight

hours for three weeks. when i finished that and cut way back to a maintenance

dose, i fell terribly ill. i had indigestion, a raw gnawing feeling in my

stomach at times and a pain in my back on the left side that would come and go

all day. i was also being awakened every night between 4-5 am with terrible a

terrible gnawing raw stomach that kept me awake the rest of the night. i finally

went to see a physician, did a new stool analysis, ultrasaound,and a subsequent

mri. here were the results. stool analysis: all of my healthy bacteria were

gone. i was overwhelmed with bad bacteria and the blastocystis now showed many,

running rampant. the result of my ultrasound and mri: i now have two large

gallstones, one measuring 3 cm and one measuring 2.8 cm. (that's over an inch in

diameter each). so you tell me!!! any comments or experience would be

appreciated. the only other wild card in this scenario was that i was taking a

soil based probiotic, garden of life primal defense ulta. i am not claiming

anything. only sharing my experience. i had to go on a drug, iodoquinol to try

and get rid of the blastocystis and am now facing the removal of my gallbladder.

pretty disappointed.
