Hello Dearest Rhondie,

I can understand your feelings of giving a person a second

chance, but there are so many variables in this horrendous and cruel

act. Yes, the boys were 10 years old, quite young, but I feel they

intentionally took this small defenseless child and did such horrible

things. This is not directed at you, my sweet sister, but where is

the little 's second chance for life? I feel that the two boys

do need some serious therapy indeed. Whether they are in Australia

or in the US or anywhere in the world, I feel this was an intentional

beating of a child and they truly showed they wanted to " hide " their

crime, so as the article says, they did know what they were doing was

seriously wrong. I would be curious to know if they have any remorse

for this crime, have they tried to make any apologies to the mother

of her murdered baby, so many variables...I may sound a bit bias for

my cousin was murdered in 2005 so brutally her mother could only

identify her by a small lock of hair and a toe ring. I just feel

murder is a very rage-filled crime. Either the person needs to be

rehabilitated or needs to go to jail. I would like to find that

place where I can feel that the young MEN now might be remorseful.

If so, I wold say they must do everything possible to prove they

would Never do something so horrible again. Sorry if it was a bit

blunt, I am very protective of the little ones. *Respectful bow to

but some " punishment " for lack of better words needs to be given if

Hi Luna,

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and feelings. I'm so very sorry to hear about the tragic death of your cousin. I should have elaborated on my viewpoint a little more and my indecision as to whether I should add my name to this petition or not.

This is part of the reason I have sought the opinions of my esteemed family here as I am completely in two minds about it and agree so many things need to be considered before any decision can be made.

By saying I believe everyone deserves a second chance, is too simple a statement to make under these circumstances........I may have been more precise in saying something along the lines of.........I believe we create our own karma....... for whatever reasons.... and certain experiences in our lives are specifically related to balancing our karma from previous lifetimes......I find it's usually the things I struggle with the most to understand are the ones I never will because they are karmically driven and do not have a point of origin in this life......

I read many years ago that we have countless incarnations on this earth and with each incarnation we choose certain experiences in order to embody the lessons we learn from these experiences. I.e... we have all experienced at least one lifetime of material poverty, we have all experienced at least one lifetime of material wealth.... we have all been murderers, we have all been murdered. We have been rapists and we have been raped. We have been the oppressed and the oppressor etc. etc .This is the balancing of our karmic lessons that (whether we like both sides of the coin or not) in our infinite spritual wisdom are the karmic agreements we have already made. I don't know, but Like Karma's post - "There are no accidents" - That was perfect for me thank you and thank you Liane for your posts on Grief. Thank you everyone for your

posts.

Luna herein lies my dilemma. I know the above to be true in my heart. My mind on the otherhand struggles to comprehend the the emotional trauma and grief these families have suffered as a result. There is no doubt their crimes were horrific and being an empath I can't help but feel for their sorrow and loss. Not to mention the question of "Miscarriage of Justice" in our legal system.......... the questions being raised here are enormous.... challenging the very fibre of our beliefs. too big for me to have an opinion about methinks.... anyways, getting back to minding my own business I'd love to share a very joyous occasion that has taken place this week. My friend Janet desperately needed a car as her husband had taken hers after they seperated. This was her livelyhood and her only means of getting income and she has been struggling with no help from him for the last couple of

months. My friends and I decided to help with what money we could and ask her ex if he would be able to help as well as he had said originally that he would.

Anyway, it just so happened that a friend of a friend had bought a good little car from her friend for $600 on the weekend. It just so happened that I put my tax return in on the weekend and should get a couple of hundred dollars back and my friend Helen has been saving money from cleaning jobs she gets outside of her work. Our friend who were buying it from is cool if she gets the money in the next couple of weeks so after Helen & I went over it & took it for a test drive last night, we excitedly drove it over to Janets, dragged her out the front on some pretext and presented her with a cute little zipply hatch with 6 months registration! She was speechless! She loves it and now has her independence back and the ability to generate an income for herself at least. I am so grateful and blessed to be able to give

back to this beautiful friend who was the very first to ask how she could help when mum died and even paid bills for me when I was away from home for so long. She sent love and prayers and still supports me in so many wonderful "motherlike" nurturing ways so it was just awesome to give some of that back.

Rhonda, how wonderful it is you were able to give back in such a huge way! What a gift you are to this world! I love you! And I also just wanted to add something quick about the petition. I remember reading about this story years ago. I'm also an empath and can feel the sorrow of the families. Luna is very right when she says there are many variables attached to this. I'm also torn. But my real sympathy AND compassion go to the child who was tortured and killed. I get very disturbed when i think about what kind of mindset those two 10 year olds must have been in (especially at that age) to have done something so horrible to another living person. I have no sympathy for those two. But I still have compassion for them. I can't even imagine what the mother of the murdered boy went through, and is still going through as a result of this. My dearest friend Rhondie,

It seems indeed that was a very touchy subject. I am nodding my

head in agreement with you for I fully understand and totally agree

with the karma from our many incarnations. I did not wish to seem

like I was debating you or not hearing your view, you are very

special to me. It is such an enigmatic thing, murder, etc...all the

variables that it is hard to choose what side of the fence to be on.

Yes, I do agree also with you dear, we have been murderers ourselves,

as well as the murdered, and the many other examples you gave. I was

truly enlightened by your words. I have read about incarnations and

how we must " play them out " until we get it " right " karmically so I

can say, that from this new outlook/perspective, they will receive

what is due them by karmic law/The Universe. Thank you sister for re-

minding me of these other ways that things work out eventually in the

end for the greater good. We don't know why things happen sometimes,

it is more lessons to learn, gifts although very difficult and sadly

challenging, we DO GROW...Thank you sister and a big hug, I humbly

Dearest Luna,

You are such a treasure to me, I could never be upset by anything you or anyone else shares here. The reason I asked for others to share their thoughts and feelings about this was because of the conundrum it seemed to produce in me. I wondered if anyone else shared the same (seemingly) opposing views and how they reconcile them or even if I was entirely sane in my outlook.

One the one hand is the profound belief (that seems to be more a "knowing" within me) that it's not for me to decide the fate of another - and what is important for me is to look at is my own fate, therefore I endlessly count my blessings that those sort of atrocities have not been my fate. Not that I would wish my own life experiences on another, or in any way undermine the importance of my own experiences for my growth, but we should be shocked and outraged by acts like these, we should have trouble comprehending why one (two, three...etc) would do such things to another. It should raise questions.

That's the other side of the conundrum. I am shocked. I have been outraged and saddened. It does raise endless questions in my mind......and I do struggle to comprehend..... children especially for me too..... I have this primal protectiveness and I know if it were my boy, I'd want to do to those kids, exactly what was done to them, f* & %! the inadeqacies of the legal system!! No amount of their so called "justice" would placate the primal rage of a parent......

Hhhhmmm........... I think I'll put it in the too hard basket for the moment....All I know is I have an assigment due this weekend, cursed thing keeps demanding my attention!! lol..... here & now Rhondie.....here & now....
