herpes and hydrogen peroxide

Hi people I have herpes genital disease and a friend told me that

Hydrogen Peroxide might help control or as he said totally cure

it ...........I'm rather sceptical of this as my Doctor says there is

no cure for it..........does anyone know whether this treatment

works?......thanks in advance..........Terry
