Guest guest
Sarcoids (Horse talk)By EV - year agoSarcoids can grow to nasty big lumps and then the horse needs to be put down. We were told at the seminar that Lipizzaners are the only breed in the world that do not get sarcoids. Why, nobody knows. Sarcoids have roots like any other cancer and it is very difficult to remove all the roots. We were shown how flies open the sarcoids and drink the fluid and then move around to other parts of the horse's body and sarcoids start growing there also. We were also told that it is no use to expel a horse with sarcoids from the stable yard because flies will travel many kilometers and nobody can control the spread of sarcoids. It looks like a good fly repellant needs to be used all year round. We were told that kerosine based fly repellants are the most effective. I make my fly repellant with paraffin which is related to kerosine.Sarcoids (Horse talk)By Fran - year agoRight, time to stick my head over the parapet. We treated this horse with a sarcoid four times over two days with mms,(Chlorine dioxide for my chemistry purist friends.) This is a before picture.View attachmentSarcoids (Horse talk)By Fran - year agoAnd three months later.View attachmentSarcoids (Horse talk)By Jubilee - year agoFran that looks a lot like proud flesh. My one pony mare had a large piece that looked identical to that and treated it with something V.....can't remember but it's prescribed for saddle sores with large scabs too. Dropped off in a month and never recurred. These Occult sarcoids how long do they take to develop or do they just suddenly appear the size of a marble? I can not ride my horse as a few weeks ago this lump just suddenly appeared in his girth area so I now have to ride bareback!Has anyone found something to be useful against these occult sarcoids?Sarcoids (Horse talk)By Fran - year agoI'm sure you're right Jubilee. It had been like that for a year and my vet said it's a sarcoid . The only treatment it had was the mms.Looks like we found a miracle cure for proudflesh then. I wonder why the normal black powder didn't work.Sarcoids (Horse talk)By carolann - year agoMy horse's are really tiny, the one grew a bit bigger, ulcerated slightly and fell off after Thuga treatment. They are just little bumps (most look like little scabs) under the skin and are not ulcerating so I'm still not sure whether to leave them or treat them. I'm just scared they'll get bigger. Fran, where do I get the copper sulphate and what form is it in? How did you apply it?Sarcoids (Horse talk)By Fran - year agoIt's Chlorine Dioxide not Copper Sulphate. The same stuff that's in AHS solution. I don't want to say in a public forum how we apply it. My point is it does work for viral problems. http://www.horsejunction.co.za/discussionForum/viewThread?topicID=85151 & rangeStart=20--- In , "healinghope" <mfrreman@...> wrote:>> Good old cut heel. actually this is now not a popular as this product.> Also wanted to share the fogging link.> http://www.grandcircuitinc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=GOSHGCWL64> http://www.thoughtfulhorseman.com/BarefootHoofCare/barefoothoofcare_hygiene.htm> http://www.revivalanimal.com/store/p/283-Oxine-Fogger-and-Oxine-AH.aspx> > > > > > > Disparagement of people is not what I log in to this group to read.> > > > > > > > There was no disparagement of anyone in Tom's comments.> > > > > > > > > The posting of "fact" does NOT include the demeaning of another> > > > > person who holds differing views.> > > > > > > > There were nothing demeaning in tom's comments.> > > > > > > > > This is the kind of post that creates battles.> > > > > > > > Only if you are the kind of person who considers statements of fact that> > > > contradict you or something you believe as a personal attack.> > > > > > > > > This post is an assault on the person, and not simply an exchange of> > > > > information and facts.> > > > > > > > No, it is simply pointing out a disparity in different comments from the> > > > same person, and asking for clarification.> > > > > > > > I have an idea... instead of complaining about imaginary personal> > > > attacks, why not just answer the question?> > > > > > > > > According to how the rules have been stated, this post violates> > > > > them.> > > > > > > > As has been made very clear, that is not up to you (or me) to decide.> > > >> > >> >>

Guest guest
Hello Healinghope, The horse hoof mix ends up with about 500 PPM available chlorine dioxide and 50 PPM of that as free chlorine dioxide.
