Guest guest
Hi, Just wanted to get an opinion. My 7 year old ASD son just started Valtrex 3 weeks ago and broke out with shingles-like blisters on his right foot and elbow and one small fluid-filled blister on his left foot that looks like chicken pox. I just increased his dosage to 250mg 3x yesterday, and he woke up this morning itching all over. I haven't seen any new " rashes " yet, but I'm just hoping he's not having an allergic reaction to Valtrex. His DAN! doc saw the blisters---although they are drying up now, but didn't know what to make of it. Any thoughts? Jen
Guest guest
Could be die off but I would still keep a close eye on it. It very well could be an allergic reaction. Also, are you washing the blue dye off? Guest guest
I am washing the dye off. He seems to be ok right now. He was itching all over this morning but he was fine later in the day. I was able to get 750 mg of Valtrex in him today so we'll see what he's like in the morning. I'll keep my fingers crossed. We're doing a lot at the same time so I'm not sure what's affecting him. We did a 3rd round of EDTA chelation on Tuesday. He's dumping lead and alluminum so we're moving a lot of stuff around. I may be doing too much too soon. I'm seeing some positive changes where he's interjecting ideas and asking questions however his stims have kicked up and he's been in overdrive for over 2 weeks. We're just watching the ups and downs and truly appreciate the ups. Those are some really good moments Thank you for your input, Jen > > > Hi, > > Just wanted to get an opinion.
