DanaFirst of all I would like to let you know that some of the banter going back and forth is not indicative or most of the people on this site. Many here are all about helping each other out. Second, hopefully your move will be seamless and you can pick up were you left off. My suggestion is that you call some of the schools and if you are not able to physically look at the school and meet with the teachers, administration and school therapists, try and get a phone coversation to discuss IEP's and programs. We have some wonderful schools and as most states, have some that are not as helpful and are resistant. I live in Fulton County in Alpharetta and the schools here are amazing for autistic children. Your main issue will be the commute for your husband depending on where in Marietta he lives. Feel free to email me privately and I can help you. (see below)I am partial to Dr. Janet and Coby Lund www.ibs.cc. They have worked with my son and I have worked with them for my business, so I am biased to them. I am sure others can recommend other qualified teams. Of course I would interview as many as you can to find the best fit for you and your children.Best of luck and feel free to contact me or ask any other questions on this site. Garrett ButchFoundergarrett@...www.maximumpotentialkids.com"Giving Children With Autism A Fighting Chance" Hi everyone! I am writing because it looks like my family will be relocating toAtlanta from Salt Lake City sometime in the next three months. I havetwo children, a daughter 5 and a son 4. My son was diagnosed withPDD-NOS in March 2008 and we have since begun an in home ABA program. If we move I would like to continue this program. Also, we currentlysee a DAN Doctor and have just started with anti-fungals (it appearswe have a yeast issue) and are seeing amazing results. I am posting because I was hoping people could recommend some ABAproviders. I can get the name of several DAN Doctors from the autismspeaks website, but if people could tell me their favorites that wouldbe great. My husband will most likely be working in Marietta so wewere thinking of moving there. Is this a great school system orshould we consider living somewhere else? Also, we will be switchinginsurance companies (I'm pretty sure) is there one that is really goodabout providing coverage for autism related things (such as ABA, DANDocs, etc.).That's all I can think of for now. I was hoping you guys could giveme a good jumping off point for these topics. I'm a littleoverwhelmed thinking of moving and restarting these services (whichweren't so easy to start in the first place). Any help you canprovide will be most appreciated. Thanks,Dana
