Guest guest
My 19 year old child was suffering with sinusitus/ear pain. I gave her OLE. Within 2 days she has broke out in a rash over her abdomen. Is this indicative of strep virus? Should I take her to the doctor? She doesn't have a fever. Thanks! Guest guest
Is it possible she's having an allergic reaction? I believe if the ear pain kept up I'd take her:http://www.providence.org/healthlibrary/contentViewer.aspx?hwid=swear & serviceArea=generic#hwtopA rare but serious infection called malignant external otitis can develop if bacteria invade the bones inside the ear canal and spread to the base of the skull. Not many people get this infection—it is mainly seen in older adults who also have diabetes, people who have HIV, and children who have impaired immune systems—but it can be fatal. Symptoms include ear pain with sudden facial paralysis, hoarseness, and throat pain. Antibiotics are used to treat this infection.
