mms for water purification question

Hi

I am just looking for a straight answer here. I cant seem to find it on all the

websites we refer to.

How many drops of activated(and does it have to be activated)

sodium chlorite does one use to purify say a quart (or litre) of dirty

water? If we were out in the wilderness at a lake or needed water from

a puddle, anything like that, does mms clean it and make it potable?
