Guest guest
Hi, Tina. Our son is on Celexa for the second time. He has experienced some of what you are talking about, both times. He becomes less concerned about his schoolwork, chores, etc. Because we homeschool, I'm able to keep him somewhat on track with his schoolwork, and I work at keeping him motivated. For him, the apathy mellows somewhat once he has been on the meds for a while. He's never considered doing anything like body piercing though. That's a hard one. When our kids are teens, it can be difficult to sort out OCD from teen behavior. My husband also experienced that on SSRIs. He barely moved to do anything. And he didn't care that he was just lying around all of the time. I wonder if that is a common side effect when they start the meds, or have a med increase. My husband is now on Welbutrin and didn't experience that with it. BJ > > Hello all, > > Argh, I am really frustrated right now!
