I don't know how long it's good for in the fridge because we never make

it that long before we run out! I just know that the settling is

normal. Our DAN doctor can bee seen on youtube.com demonstrating the

making of the kefir and how it should look. Just make sure you use

young coconuts (not the brown, hairy guys) and make sure the liquid is

white and not pink, which would mean it's rotten.

Congrats on the potty progress!

if your post hasn't already been answered the white at the

bottom are supposed to be there and fine to consume. Lots of B

vitamins. I keep my yck in fridge no longer than a week.

Thanks to all of you for your help!

I just wanted to double check and make sure I was making it

correctly.

I actually saw the YouTube video a few weeks ago before I started.

Your DAN! Dr. has alot of good videos and information on YouTube, I

enjoyed watching them!

Thanks again and I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter :-)

I just made my second batch of coconut kefir. Tastes more champagne-ish than the first batch. I think I made this one better. First one was more of a sour taste.

the batches will vary. I find that the second and next

transfers need less time to ferment than the original master batch.

I keep transfering with the original batch until it gets to be real

vinegar tasting. Somewhere sour between sweet & vinegar is a good

place to be.

cheers
