Guest guest
Highrise looks pretty cool, but what are you using it for? I have at times wished I had a backup database to to have access to my patients' basic info that I could still get to, even if my server/emr is down for some reason. Have been debating how best to accomplish this for some time, but the main reason for inaction has been my reluctance to take on the double entry needed to put all my patients in as contacts in some other program. Has anyone used something like Highrise for this purpose? One tip I neglected to mention: www.highrisehq.com - Jack -- Jack Forbush, DO Osteopathic Center for Family Medicine 603 Main Road North Hampden, ME 04444 office: fax: www.ocfm.com -- Annie SkaggsLexington, KY
Guest guest
Annie, Highrise can import the standard vCal format of any contact. I've been transitioning to using this " cloud " contact manager over the past few months simply because of its ubiquity. A product such as this doesn't tie me down to any type of proprietary software. Been using it essentially for all of my business contact communications as I can BCC a copy to my high-rise e-mail account to track various forms of communication. I've not had to double entry anything. I simply export my contact information from my contact manager and upload it to Highrise. If you're interested in touching base with a great resource, contact me off-line as I don't want to give the perception of impropriety of trying to market someone else's business. jforbush at ocfm dot com -- Jack Forbush, DO Osteopathic Center for Family Medicine 603 Main Road North Hampden, ME 04444 office: fax: www.ocfm.com
