Guest guest Posted March 21, 2011 Report Share Posted March 21, 2011 hello group. i may have missed the obvious question, but was wondering what affect mms has on radionucleotides? i read that most are positively charged, which would make it a target for elimination, but was wondering what the redox potential is for say cesium 131? is it lower that 0.95 volts? is it possible that mms would make radionucleotides more potent or dangerous? regards, brian. While chlorine dioxide in water has an ORP of 0.95 volts, chlorous acid has an ORP of 1.58 volts. You can check the difference by measuring the PH of your solution. Chlorine dioxide in water has the same PH as the water originally had. Chlorous acid has a low PH, usually around 3. There isn't a good correlation between ionizing radiation oxidation and chemical oxidation, but both are dependent upon concentration and both produce free radicals inside the body. Chlorous acid (what a dose of MMS forms) is not beneficial in radioactive areas, but chlorine dioxide can help. Water becomes radioactive when the radioactive isotopes attach themselves to the various impurities in the water. Cesium 137 is very fond of calcium, magnesium, and sulfur. Chlorine dioxide breaks down magnesium, calcium, and sulfur, so if you had radioactive water you could use the chlorine dioxide to break down the impurities in the water, then filter the by products out of the water and end up with water that was much less radioactive. Similar to this is dealing with radioactive " dust " particles in the air. Chlorine dioxide gas has been shown to reduce the concentration of volatile organic compounds in the air. This would knock the dust out of the air and make it less radioactive. The problem here is that the dust would end up on the floor and would be kicked up every time you walked over it. Still, this has the possibility of having some benefit. The problem with this is that the concentrations necessary to do this may be higher than what the body can tolerate and you may end up oxidizing your lungs with a chemical oxidizer. However, in a disaster area, this may be preferred to over oxidizing your lungs with ionizing radiation. Tom --- In , " habitats@... Guest guest Posted March 23, 2011 Report Share Posted March 23, 2011 Hello Group,I am new to this and am still learning about the products (hopefully!) by being a member and reading your comments and stories...My question is this - I am 51 and have COPD from smoking (chronic bronchitis), and a Syndrome X (I think it's hyperlippoproteinea) from which I take 3 forms of statins (and I don't even have high cholesterol, there is just nothing else on the market, according to my doctor, that comes close to controlling my condition. I have always hated taking these expensive meds! Is it possible that MMS can help me improve my COPD or help me to come off of some of my statins?I hope I am clear and don't sound dumb here, I really am trying to learn.
