Guest guest
I wanted to jump in on the side effects conversation. I thought LDN wasn't working for my Crohn's but I started questioning the everyday, ordinary things I do and put in my mouth. I finally got to the sugarless gum I chewed every stinking day. I stopped chewing it on Sunday and this has been a fabulous week! I apparently cannot have even the slightest amount of artificial sugar. I believe my digestive problems led me to LDN, but LDN led me to finding out one of my major irritants! I say, to all of those that have been on LDN and not seeing improvement, question the everyday things...you never know! low dose naltrexone From: nualawhite@...Date: Thu, 13 Aug 2009 12:43:37 +0100Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Re:Side effects I agree that it isn't helpful whne people go on about what seem likeminiscule side effects after only a few days on LDN.However what really annoys me is when some enjoy sneering at people who havejust joined the list and who are having a go at LDn. Yes we don't want toscare anyone off. Surely you do not want to do that either, but the sneeringjokes have just that effect!Isn't it possible that there are effects like depressive feelings which arereal LDN side effects where the endorphin blockade persists longer than 4 to6 hours. Isnt it possible that for some daily dosing is too much? Please guys, give people a break.Nuala Messages in this topic (9) Reply (via web post) | Start a new topic Messages MARKETPLACE Mom Power: Discover the community of moms doing more for their families, for the world and for each other Change settings via the Web ( ID required) Change settings via email: Switch delivery to Daily Digest | Switch format to Traditional Visit Your Group | Terms of Use | Unsubscribe Recent Activity 60 New MembersVisit Your Group Finance It's Now Personal Guides, news, advice & more. Guest guest
 Your total tesosterone is 650?  What is your daily dose of androgel?  (5 grams/day?)  do you put it on your upper arms and back?  What are you other numbers? bioavailable test? E2 ultra-sensitive? ShBG = ?  fyi-- my anxiety disappeared almost totally after getting my total testosterone in the 600-800 range. Are you being treated for depression? have you had anxiety before?  anxiety sux!!! are you taking other meds???  e-mail me if you like       From: bsquared20 <no_reply > Subject: Side Effects Date: Tuesday, December 22, 2009, 6:20 PM  I am desperate for help. My levels are finally above normal at 650 up from a low of 94. Androgel has helped me there. However the side effects are killing me!!! Anxiety, low sex drive, depressed, etc. I couldn't afford a compound injection that worked so well, so my question is: does the oral form of therapy have less side effects than all the rest? I don't care about how well it works, I just want the anxiety to go away. I do not want to rely on xanax to combat the side effect of a different med. Thank you. Guest guest
I am going through the same thing it's high levels of Estradiol I keep mine down taking Arimidex 1/4 of a pill every 3 days. But it's the hardest hormone to control there is. I started going to high my body just does this. I start to feel panic and end up in a Panic Attack this stated up 4 weeks ago the off and on it just keep going up. I am now taking Arimidex every day to keep it down. I know I am not to low by gaging my night time and morning wood. It was so bad the other day I took a whole pill to feel better. For me the Arimidex works fast in 1 hr. I am feeling better. Ever man on TRT ends up with a higher Estradiol level this makes you feel like your feeling. All you need is to get it down one thing that helps is Zinc I get mine from taking ZMA the Now brand I take it at bed time. Zinc lowers Copper levels so I take 2 mgs at noon and this helps keep estradiol down. Do get this tested and if your high over 30 get some Arimidex. Here is what I tell men so they don't go to low on it. ========================================================================== What I found is if you go to low taking arimidex, it's the length of time your to low, if your too low say for 8 weeks it can take your body a longer time to make more Estradiol. Bottom line is to know how not to go to low. Keep a log on your dose and how you feel men going to low can't get it up taking Viagra. I went to low when I first tried Arimidex and did not know about going to low or how one feels to low, so I was low a good 8 weeks. I did not know I was low until my next labs. The best gage I have found to control your Estradiol levels is to gage your night time and morning wood. At good levels or what I call the sweet spot you get your night time and morning wood back so strong it will wake you up and you can hang a coat on it. Most men do good taking .25 mgs or 1/4 of a 1mg. pill, I use a pill cutter to cut the small pill in half then I stand it on the cut end and use a single edge razor to cut this in half. A good way to take arimidex is by how high your levels are. I tested over 90 pg/ml so we tried doing .5 mgs every other day after 8 weeks my next set of labs showed it did not move below 90, test said >90. So we did .5 mgs. every day in about 2 weeks I got some strong night time and morning wood back after not having them for many yrs. I kept doing this dose and in 8 weeks my next set of labs said <20 back in the day labs were like this they did not have to good labs we have today they could not read lower the 20. My Dr. told me this looks to low to stop taking the Arimidex. The one thing I noticed was my wood stopped and stopping the Arimidex my wood came back in about 7 weeks my next test at 8 weeks was 24 pg/ml. So we went back on the Arimidex but the Dr. told me to take .5 mgs every 3 days I was on this dose not a week and lost wood. This is when I figured out going to low you lose wood. And the longer your too low the longer it takes to get levels back up. I stopped the arimidex right away and got my wood back in 4 days. I then after playing with the dose for a time found the best dose is .25mgs every 2 to 3 days. So lets say your labs are less the 50 pg/ml if your take .5 mgs you can go down so dam fast your miss the sweet spot of your wood and go to low. It's best with lower levels 50 and under to do less Arimidex .25mgs every 2 days if later your lose wood when it comes back go to every 3 days. I have found estradiol is the hardest hormone to control, it goes up or down from month to month some times I need .25mgs every 2 days other times I need ..25mgs everyday most of the time I do well on every 3 days. So between wood and labs I do great and so do most of the men I have told this to. I keep a log on how much I am taking and how I feel. Doing this and reading back in my log I was able to tell when I was going to high or to low my Dr. lets me dose my arimidex by how I feel. Over the yrs. I have posted this story until I am blue in the face. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- If your Dr. will not test this or give you Arimidex then get some DIM take one tab. at Dinner time. This works and get some TMG take this at bed time it helps your liver wash out the E's. http://www.iherb.com/Enzymatic-Therapy-Pure-Rip-with-DIM-60-Tablets/12814?at=0 http://www.myvitanet.com/tmgtr75120ca.html In this link it's about DIM. http://www.dimfaq.com/index.htm This link is full of links about it. http://qualitycounts.com/fpdim.html It works slower then Arimidex but works when your low enough you will get your night time and morning wood back to not go to low keep track of your wood. If it stopps your going down to low just stop the DIM until the wood comes back then that day go back on it but cut the tab in half. Guest guest
Your urine will show lime green if you are taking B vitamins which are in the Nutri Adrenal Extra. This is nothing to worry about. You literally pee out what of the B vits your body is unable to utilise. The headache is probably caused because you have started taking too high a dose. I have just written about this in my previous email to you . Remember the Nutri Adrenal Extra is much, much stronger than the Nutri Adrenal. Luv - Sheila Hi could anyone tell me if you get side effects from nutri adrenal extra. I was taking 6 nutri adrenal (not the extra) with no ill effects. Started taking nde 3 days ago 1nde+2 nd in the morning and the same around lunch before 1pm. Since i introduced the nde my urine is lime green and i have a really sever head ache all afternoon. Guest guest
I had this in the very very beginning of taking LDN since I felt a little nausea, but now into the 4th month, my appetite is pretty darn good. Too good. [low dose naltrexone] Side Effects Is "loss of appetite" a side effect of LDN. I am depleted and I'm looking at everything other than LDN. Guest guest
Hi everyone, I think I have mentioned this already, I don't remember. I have been using Humira for 2-3 months with vicodin for pain as needed. My recent liver check came back with double the normal for my ALP enzyme count. I was told not to take anything not even ibuprofen. I go back to see my Rheumy on Wednesday, I have looked at the sites online and am sure that there are no meds out there that I can take without affecting my liver. I was set up to go try acupuncture but had to cancel due to a pinched nerve in my neck that I am currently dealing with. I really don't know what to do now. I am already thinking about getting my medical records from the time I was diagnosed with PsA so I can have everything ready when I get to the point of having to file for SSI. I just can't believe this is happening, I had so much hope that the Humira would work and I would be on it for a while with no bad effects, I don't know what to do now I am only 41, I feel like my life is just about over. Anyone who can give me any advice would be greatly appreciated. Lori in AZ
Guest guest
DEAR LORI, THIS HAPPENED TO ME WITH THE INCREASED LIVER ENZYMES AFTER YEARS OF TAKING METHOTREXATE. AFTER A THREE MONTH BREAK FROM EVERYTHING MY RHEUMY TRIED TO GIVE IT TO ME AGAIN AND MY LIVER REBELLED AND MY WHITE COUNT GOT SO LOW I WAS HOSPITALIZED TEMPORARILY. NEEDLESS TO SAY METHO AND I HAVE PARTED WAYS PERMANENTLY. WHAT A SHAME BECAUSE IT WORKED SO WELL FOR OVER FIVE YEARS. THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT ONCE MY COUNTS STABILIZED THE RHEUMY TRIED ANOTHER NEW DMARD AND IT WORKED NICELY WITH NO LIVER ISSUES AT LEAST FOR A SHORT WHILE. GOOD LUCK TO YOU-MICHELLE
Guest guest
I would suggest he take it during the day - in the morning perhaps - many people do that in order to avoid the sleep loss - and LDN still works for them anyway.JackieFrom: PENNY HOLLEY <pennyholley@...>Subject: [low dose naltrexone] side effectslow dose naltrexone Date: Wednesday, June 23, 2010, 2:42 PM My son is 32 and he was diagnosed with MS in 2008 following an episode of seriously blurred vision. His vision is not great and he has pins and needles and some numb feelings. He has a responsible job that he enjoys, plays football and golf and has told no one about his illness, apart from me, and his sister and his girlfriend. This is the way he copes with it day to day. I found out about LDN as he did not want to take any of the treatments offered by his specialist. Sadly he is not keen on taking LDN either, as he says it keeps him awake. I got him a reduced prescription from 4.5mg to 3 mg, but he only takes it when he has tingling or numbness. My question is, will the side effect of keeping him awake reduce with time? He tells me that despite being kept awake he does not wake up tired, but feels it must be 'wrong' and he should get more sleep. He also has a horror of taking medecine that I have 'discovered on the internet'. Should I leave him alone and not try to press him and let him come to this in his own time, which may be when his symptoms are worse?. I know this is a difficult question to answer, so any advice on when the sleeplessness might end would be helpful? Many thanks
Guest guest
don't know if this will help, i started my herbs separately. i started with cat's claw and started having hemorrhoid problems then. that was 6 weeks ago and the problems has cleared up. From: karend27 <karend27@...> Subject: [ ] Side effects Date: Thursday, December 23, 2010, 3:35 PM Â Hi I've been on the protocol for 2 1/2 weeks now. Up to three 3x/day for sarsaparilla, cats claw, resveratrol and one andrographis 3x/day also stepahania and Eleuthero tincture. In the last week I've been having painful hemorrhoids (actually feels like entire perenium area swollen even cervix). Â have not had these since the birth of my children. which herb do you think might be causing this? I was wondering about the resveratrol (Japanese knotweed) - does it increase blood flow? Â I will try easing back on whatever the best guess might be.

Guest guest
I have been taking MMS1 and MMS2 for 4 days on the cancer protocol, but can't seem to get very far. MMS1 is up to 8 drops and 1/4 capsule of MMS2, but I am always nauseous and vomiting. To vomit MMS2 is intolerale. I adjusted the protocol to MMS1 the first hour and MMS2 the 2nd hour because my stomach and digestive system just couldn't handle the regular protocol, but now it's not handling the revised one I made up either. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Guest guest
Roseann- Are you eating apples? When I get nausea, I cut up an apple and eat it; that always helps. Last year I was on the beet protocol and you had to eat an apple BEFORE the beet/asparagus juice so you would not get nausua . If I wake up with a little nausea, I eat a few pieces of apple before my MMS1 dose. When I read about the apples on Jim Humbles's nausea page I knew that was the cure for nausea as I thought back to the beet protocol. One day last year on the beets, other family members left in the morning without their beet juice, so I drank their portion, besides my own. It was the first time I vomited because I didn't eat an apple before hand that day ( I forgot). I'm on day 8 on mms1 (mms2 hasn't arrived in mail yet) and had some good colon results- wow. bowel movements that come out suddenly in a ball that are light and puffy are parasite nests (from what I read in colon cleansing articles). > > I have been taking MMS1 and MMS2 for 4 days on the cancer protocol, but can't seem to get very far. Guest guest
Roseanne- I wouldn't think the apples interfere with the mms1 because you can take apple juice with mms1. Was up to 6 drops of mms1 4 times a day, got up to 7 on one dose, but had to go back to 6. Yesterday could only take 3 doses. Some days vary on account of nausea, so I let the nausea be my guide. I'll start the mms2 soon (breast cancer) and that will change my whole dosage intake probably. If I feel nauseous (like yesterday) and need to have a bowel movement (which relives nausea often), I eat some licorice and that brings on a bowel movement. The licorice affects the bile... makes you go to the bathroom. > > > > I have been taking MMS1 and MMS2 for 4 days on the cancer protocol, but can't seem to get very far. Guest guest
Keep in mind that MSM is an anti oxidant and it eliminates the smell and taste by neutralizing the chlorine dioxide... You can do the same thing by simply reducing the concentration. The Lubbers study was done with 5 PPM and there were no issues with taste or odor.
