Have you or anyone else here used DMSO? I've heard some good things

about it, but would like to hear a few more personal stories before I

go out and purchase some.

Buddy,

Ask away, and I will tell you what my experiences have been. I've been

using DMSO for about 7 years. Mostly I use it to transport my EIS

(electrically isolated silver) deeper into tissues to increase the

effectiveness of the EIS at killing pathogens and stimulating healing.

I've used it with my animals and with us humans here.

Currently since I cannot use any oral vit C at the present, I'm using

it to deliver vit C topically.

Have you used it for muscle or joint pain? I've heard of some people

using it with Tiger Balm to help it absorb deeper.

I cut a quarter to half way through 3 of my fingers on the table saw.

Needless to say--LOTS of blood flowing. I poured DMSO over the fingers and

the blood stopped by 50%, stuck them in some hot pepper tincture and that

totally stopped the bleeding, then put some propolis on them and wrapped

them up. I left them wrapped for almost a week, unwrapped them, put more

propolis on them and wrapped them again. Left that wrap on for a week, then

took that off and just used bandages. Never put anything else on them, and

by the time they healed there's no scar, full feeling in them, finger nails

have grown completely back.

Personally, I wouldn't be without DMSO (or the other 2 things).

Good lord you must be tough.  Hot pepper tincture sounds like it would be very

very painful on a fresh cut!

Still waiting on mine to come by mail.  I can't wait!

Yes, I've never used it with anything like tiger balm though. Don't

think I would do that, but I am applying the vitC-DMSO mix on my

painful knees and hip. I actually started using that before finding out

I need to stop all oral vit C. For some reason it seemed like a good

idea to deliver the vit C to where it might be needed.

It definitely helps with joint pain. My husband uses it on his painful

shoulder too and says it helps.

Using plain DMSO diluted with my EIS was erratic in helping knee pain.

It has always worked like a charm for my hip pain though. Go figure.

Diluted DMSO has also helped with sprains/bruising, and it has saved me

from severe eczema breakouts several times when I could start applying

it at the first signs. In that case it helps because of the histamine

release it causes in the skin. With the eczema, if I could start

depleting the skin cells of histamine soon enough, and keep them

depleted an attack could never get very bad.

FWIW, I mostly use DMSO quite diluted, about 10-20% DMSO (99% DMSO) the

rest being EIS.

For the vit C topical I use Labs Dusa 60 (60% DMSO, odorless) with

the pure vit C powder mixed into it.

I've heard of people using DMSO to deliver vit B or vit B complex

topically, too. But when I tried that I had an allergic reaction, which

I think was to fillers in the vitamin product.

You might join the DMSO list for more info.

No, there's no pain when you have a severe cut. The wound is already

traumatized so the hot pepper has no pain effect on it. I could also have

packed it with dry cayenne powder, but I didn't have any. I tincture my hot

peppers so don't keep dry on hand.

Both the dry and tincture are good for stopping strokes and heart attacks,

but I think the tincture is easier to take, because you can just take a

couple droppers full, whereas with the powder you have to get water and mix

it in. Plus, you can just carry a small bottle of the tincture in your

purse or pocket. Hard to do that with the powder. :-)

What company are you getting yours from?

I would think not, because of the contaminants in the water etc. Should use

distilled water.

You could try joining the DMSO group, I am sure they can answer your

DMSO will transport compounds with a molecular weight below 1,000

through the skin......as long as those compounds are soluble in the

DMSO. DMSO can dissolve both fat and water soluble chemicals, so we are

talking about a very large group of substances.

Bacteria are far too large to be carried through the skin by DMSO.

Viruses are very much smaller, but don't need DMSO to penetrate the skin.

Having said this it is always prudent to carefully clean the skin before

a DMSO application. Selsun Blue, the shampoo, is good for this. It is

used prior to EEGs to remove residue from the skin. Rinse thoroughly.

Thin skin with hair follicles is the best place for application, the

armpits are ideal. Adding a little aloe vera to the mix will help keep

the skin from getting dehydrated. If redness does occur, wait awhile

then apply some distilled water to the area. It will rapidly rehydrate.

I have been off of gluten and casein for the past two weeks.

When I add gluten or casein back to my diet I react with

headaches and sinus congestion among other effects. I

believe that I am sensitive and was experiencing sudden

withdrawal when I started LDN, with the headache being part

of the withdrawal.

I will know more as I continue the gluten-casein free diet

and start the LDN again. The headaches are a great motivator

to keep to the diet although it's still a challenge for me

since I was consuming grain and dairy regularly.

The type of headache DMSO causes, often associated with oral

or IV use of much larger amounts, did not feel like the

headaches I was having while taking LDN. Generally the type

of headache DMSO causes is a transient short lived headache

due to vasodilation that last maybe 5 or 10 minutes and is

usually associated with higher blood levels than I was

achieving with 2 ml of 10% DMSO. DMSO is metabolized rapidly

so accumulation would not have been an issue.

It has never caused a headache for me after topical use in

six years. I have used DMSO as a 24 / 7 compress for

injuries, a common practice among athletes, in much higher

concentrations than the 10% solution without getting a

headache. I actually have used it topically on my scalp and

in my ears to treat headaches - the vasodilation can relieve

a tension headache.

DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO is the

DMSO List if you want to learn more about this very

miraculous substance. It is used to preserve organs and stem

cells for transport as well as in many other life saving

capacities such as to prevent heart attacks and strokes.

Water is also a solvent btw.

I have heard other similar accounts on other boards over the years, so I don't

think I am that much of an anomaly, even if in the minority.

Ellen

RE: [ ] Re: [Lyme_Rife] DMSO !!!! I don't think so!

I am not discounting what you report Ellen but from what I read it sounds

like you might be the exception to the rule.

I really suggest folks get the book and read up on DMSO. Read the book and

form your own opinions.

Also, according to the book, it is an antibiotic, there is a possibility you

may even have had a Herx caused by the DMSO that caused the depression etc.

Also since DMSO is a solvent one has to be EXTREMELY careful with what it

comes in contact with. It will deliver poison to the cells as easy as it

delivers other drugs!

The book is DMSO: Nature's Healer and Amazon carries it.

Yes apparently there is basis for it. I don't have the book at work atm so I

can't look it up but basically it has a name that means its both an

antibiotic and an anesthetic.

Most of the studies in the book were done by MDs in the last century before

the FDA came down so hard on it.

Really get the book and read it. Its an eye opener!

Hi,

Does anyone know a reputable site where I can buy some DMSO? I know it can be

used in conjunction with MMS transdermally & also i read (I think it was here)

about using it with magnesium oil rubbed on the skin for arthritis.

I want to make sure I'm getting quality product, so if anyone has used DMSO &

knows where I can purchase, would be grateful for any info.

Thanks,

Val
