one was a GI scope with nitrous oxide where we lost a years development overnight,

Christel,

Is there anything to do to help in a situation like this or do you just have to fight back with therapies and patience? My son had strep in August (which was misdiagnosed), he had his GI scope in September, and our issues started in October. They started about 6-7 weeks after strep and about 3 weeks after the scope. We asked them not to use Nitrous, and the anesthesiologist questioned me on it and then said "we use something else anyway" and told me the name and I forget it now. I often wonder if the scope added to our problems.

my son IS a PANDAS kid. yes. we had 2 great regressions along our path where we were ready to loose our DX and then got shot backwards. one was a GI scope with nitrous oxide where we lost a years development overnight, COULD have also been exposed to strep then as well with the scope, jury's out on that. and then a pandas flare.....where he went crazy and it took months to get him back again. for diet issues we go by IGG and IGE testing and rotate, while fighting yeast, doing LDN, and yeast/bacteria fighters, and probotics. have you done those tests?? oh and we also do enzymes. we are pastors in Maine, came here to be youth pastors, I also did lots of missions work in Europe before being married, Ukraine, Slovakia, Czech, Germany, France, Italy ect

we did dump alot of lead with our chelation but then moved and didn't get settled with out CPS stepping in from a concerned daycare center with our son eating so fast and being so thin, the state gave us the run around about seeing specialist ect and then sent us a letter after 8 months of looking into our med records saying they concitered chelation to be child abuse and if they saw us doing it they could open up a neglect case review.....so I was to scared to go there again and we were seeing metals comeing out with getting suppliments right so I wasn't to worried, now we just did popheryns tests and he is off the chart with mercury, so I am jumping through state hoops to have THEM do the testing and treatments so it's not behind there back and THEY can see he has metal issues., he also had lead again and some arsenic. so that is our next adventour and we are behind in speech but it is getting better daily, so I am hoping it will help in that area. I am also looking into valtrex and HBOT, we are starting next month. we have whipped our yeast issues over a year ago finally with diflucan followed by LDN. and lost 22 allergies with it as well....really freeing him up to soar

Christel, how many DAN doctors have you seen in the past on your son's recovery path? Your son's story is very encouraging to us. I wonder did you only see Dr on in Maine and have done all that treatments with Dr. on along? Or did you have other doctors like someone treat PANDAS along with you on this recovery path? Bio Med treatment, chelation, detox, immune system treatment are all on my wish list, but I am having a hard time to find doctors or a doctor that we can trust. I got burned by other DAN before, so we become very cautious and discouraged now... Please advise. thanks a lot. I have seen around 7 DAN's some only for 1 visit as I had no confidence in them after that. 2 sent me home with things my child was allergic to with the testing right in front of them, but the one that we have stuck with through the whole thing is in Kansas Baptist he is an allergist/immologist. we love love love him....we actually travel yearly to see him all the way from maine. he sees our other 2 children as well to keep there bodies healthy and KEEP from worry with them being triggered or tipped over the edge. we have TONS of family allergies and history of immune issues. I also reacted to MY MMR in highschool causeing many of my health issues, hubby and I both have metal issues. I have not seen Dr on but love the woman. we had so much fun at the DAN conference and she was involved in an autism event we put on as well and we hope to do some stuff together in the future as well. my advice would be ask who OTHERs trust with similar issues to your children with similar treatments that you would like to do and then travel. you don't HAVE to see someone near you, it's more important to get someone you feel is on your side to work with you, our DAN works with us via internet, phone and mail through the year and we see him in person 1 time a year. we have been seeing him for almost 5 years. we have just started with a local DAN homopathic, and I am seeing if it will be a workable one or not

Awesome information, Christel. This is what i have been looking for. Several DANs we have seen in the past, none of them are in immunology background and I have been suspecting most of my son's problems are immune related. Myself has big time immune issue--allergy to a lot of stuff, I have neve got my son checked up if he is a PANDAS kid or not. Does Dr. Baptist also treat wth MB12 shots, anti-viral, anti-yeast, chelation treatments all that? Can I have his clinic contact information? Thanks a lot. for the nitrous oxide regression we had to put in the mito cocktail and do st johns wort as his seritonin was really struggeling after and he was very sad, manic, crazy agressive ect. it also helped with our PANDAS as well. our anesthesiologist was spoken to BEFORE hand letting them know we thought levi had the MTHFR mutation and that he was NOT to use it. apparently he though he knew my son better then I did and used it anyway, I was FURIOUS>....should have sued looking back now. BUIE said he had never seen anything happen like it did to our son like that. his labs were a mess but his scope was beautiful. it looks like he was under massive stress while under. (mito/metobolic type stuff) looking back and knowing what I know now I would have had him on massive b12 to help bring him back quicker. I thought he was going to end up in the nut house after the scope, it was so hard to loose him all over again, instead I ended up there, I had a hard time dealing with loosing him again, at the same time my husband took on more hours at work and he was only home and seeing the kids 4 hours a week and levi tried to kill his baby sister several times durring this whole episode, I couldn't even go to the bathroom with out locking him in his room, putting baby sister in her crib and looking her in her room and then keeping the bathroom door open so i could see if there were break outs. levi was melting down terrible, we had one episode that lasted 75 min solid with 3 trained and grown adults holding him down. he was trying to hurt us and himself, we were ALL covered in sweat (wring out kinda drenched) we called 911 and they just watched us, it was my worse nightmear, they said they couldn't hold him or sedate him unless we were ready to check him in on the psych unit. hubby worked an hour away and by the time he got there it was done. (wow I am being really vulnerable tonight)

folapro is folic acid broken down to it's simplest and most absorbable form. our son was part of Dr McCandless study on it, so about 2.5 years or more

I give it to my son around 10pm and if I'm late by more than an hour, or I forget, he wets the bed. I can't understand why but I actually tested my theory that it was being late LDN and sure enough it happens every time. Its amazing how a little dab of cream can make such a difference

we have tried and he gets sick just missing one day or having it a few hours off scheudal EVERY TIME. infact this last time he missed 3 days due to a mix up with formulation and he ended up in the hospital for another 3 days and sick for 6 weeks, we have not been able to get back on track, so we are now changeing BACK to our old company and see if that makes a difference

Thanks Christel. So your son is still on LDN. My daughter has been on a little over a year. She made wonderful gains in the beginning. I was thinking of removing it but I'm not sure if I should. what helped the most with speech gains?? my son is 13 and non verbal...

my son IS a PANDAS kid. yes. we had 2 great regressions along our path where we were ready to loose our DX and then got shot backwards. one was a GI scope with nitrous oxide where we lost a years development overnight, COULD have also been exposed to strep then as well with the scope, jury's out on that. and then a pandas flare.....where he went crazy and it took months to get him back again. for diet issues we go by IGG and IGE testing and rotate, while fighting yeast, doing LDN, and yeast/bacteria fighters, and probotics. have you done those tests?? oh and we also do enzymes. we are pastors in Maine, came here to be youth pastors, I also did lots of missions work in Europe before being married, Ukraine, Slovakia, Czech, Germany, France, Italy ect

we did dump alot of lead with our chelation but then moved and didn't get settled with out CPS stepping in from a concerned daycare center with our son eating so fast and being so thin, the state gave us the run around about seeing specialist ect and then sent us a letter after 8 months of looking into our med records saying they concitered chelation to be child abuse and if they saw us doing it they could open up a neglect case review.....so I was to scared to go there again and we were seeing metals comeing out with getting suppliments right so I wasn't to worried, now we just did popheryns tests and he is off the chart with mercury, so I am jumping through state hoops to have THEM do the testing and treatments so it's not behind there back and THEY can see he has metal issues., he also had lead again and some arsenic. so that is our next adventour and we are behind in speech but it is getting

better daily, so I am hoping it will help in that area. I am also looking into valtrex and HBOT, we are starting next month. we have whipped our yeast issues over a year ago finally with diflucan followed by LDN. and lost 22 allergies with it as well....really freeing him up to soar

ugh!! That stinks. We've missed several days in a row before, went away for a few days & forgot it :( Anyway, we didn't see any side effect until we restarted. Her sleep was off for a few days and I think we had a mild yeast flare (not sure if that was related or not) which is why I was thinking we might stop giving it. Where do you get yours from?? We use Wellness. Christel King wrote: we have tried and he gets sick just missing one day or having it a
