Guest guest
Am I nuts or not but when me the parent asks for an IEP I should get one no matter what? I've asked twice and both times I was told we don't need to change her goals and wait another month once the teacher can assess her ablitites and KImberly can get use to the new schedule. School started the 1st of this month. I thought If the parent asks for an IEP you are given one no matter what. I want to change her goals to be more detail. For math she just has To Increase her MAth skills and that is it. For reading it's to increase her reading skills. KImberly needs more detail in her IEP. Also for homework her teacher does not intend giving HW to her students. After talking to the princple is coming home with Homework. BUt I was told by her Specail Ed Lead Teacher the " The system does not advocate homework " in her excate words. what the heck does that mean? they don't give out homework that is strange when my other daugther is getting hw every night she is a regular ed student. KImberly has Mild Autism and she is in 2nd grade in a MILD classroom and goes to an Inclusion class for Science and Soical Stuides. not happy with that.
