So here I am, day 10 of an SCD/caveman diet. I've gotten my son to

eat vegetable soup believe it or not which I can literally put

anything in. However, he's a total crank, crying all the time and

seems yeastier than ever. He's crying all the time and it's driving

me nuts--he's also itchy everywhere and ridiculously hungry all the

time. He was so much better behaved on potato and rice--I can't

figure this out. This is what he eats--maybe too much fruit??? I've

had to cut him down to like 3 oz of protein b/c I could see his

ammonia climbing despite yucca, ammonia rna

Breakfast: 1-2 really ripe bananas, 1 scrambled egg yolk

Followed by a pear " sorbet " I make in the blender (pear, ice, and

little oil to fill him)--maybe a golden delicious apple

Lunch: vegetable soup with either lamb/beef/chicken/ or turkey

Vegetables can be the following yellow squash, zucchini, butternut

squash, celery, string beans, kale, fennel, leeks carrots

Snack--pear sorbet again

Dinner, same as above followed by pear sorbet. The vegetables in the

soup are boiled to death

Is this a salicylate issue, yeast, phenol, die-off--I don't know. I

don't think it's oxalates b/c the kid ate soooooo much potato prior

to this and didn't seem to be affected. I'm ready to give up. Oh

yeah--don't forget about the constipation and big bloated belly Love

you guys!!!!! Beth Sutton
