Guest guest
I think that Viruses bind tom metals and must be pulled first but I cant be sure and we are not on metals yet, and took a step back from starting Valtrex when we got hit with PANDAS. But I think I can remember that viruses bind to the metals and when you are using an anti- viral you definitely need an antifungal/anti-yeats like Diflucan on board. Hope that helps?? I use low dose EDTA soak in the bath, have not seen anything good or bad but using such a small amt.... > > Our DAN! doctor recommended a heavy metal chelator called bio-chelat > for my son who is almost 4 years old know. Guest guest
We are using Bio-Chlelat and love it. It is VERY gentle, but works well. Have seen a lot of improvement with speach. You HAVE to be putting the " good " minerals that the bio-chelat strips back in, and you have to be using a liver cleanse, like milk thistle at the same time. We have been trying to clean out the yeast prior to and during. I think it's most important to have the liver healthy as that is how the metals will be discreeted. Guest guest
I just read this on a website for Bio Chelate: Unlike most other heavy metal detoxifications and chelating agents, Bio-Chelat does not cause loss of essential organic metals and minerals that are essential to your health. In the clinical studies done in Germany, only zinc was slightly decreased, so we do recommend supplementing with extra zinc while taking Bio-Chelat. It is also recommended to take a detox/support remedy for the kidney, liver and lymphatic system (available in your local health food store). And perhaps most important of all is to drink lots of good water, ideally 2-3 liters/day while you are detoxifying. Re: Has anyone tried a product called BIO-CHELAT? Guest guest
Re: Bio-chelat and milk thistle. Were these introduced to you by your doctor or did you start them on your own ? Just curious, I dont think we are addressing metals yet. Is it EDTA ? > > > > Our DAN! doctor recommended a heavy metal chelator called bio- chelat > > for my son who is almost 4 years old know. Guest guest
Yes. First we used milk thistle for a couple of months to help detox the liver (as well as being on other supplements for a year) and then we started on the Bio-Chelat at very small doses. We are in Canada and actually use a Naturopath who specializes in Autism and is DAN! trained. I have just happened upon this group after going to hear J. McCarthy speak and she mentioned Valtrex. I am hoping I can learn more and find that final piece that we have been missing as I feel we are almost at the end of our journey since my 4 year old is almost at a " typical " level for development, after being diagnosed severe at 21 months. Guest guest
Hi Jenn, Thanks for the kind message... We have had great success with simple stuff like GFCF diet, eliminating chemicals from home and food, supplements like large doses of Vit. C, CLO, P5P, magnesium, calcium and l-glutamine, Kirkman's multi, and milk thistle, Grapefruit seed extract, probiotic and bio-chelate. We obviously used one at a time and built up to all of these with the assistance and guidance of a wonderful DAN! Naturopath. We also used Meth B12 cream and had language double at the very beginning of our journey. (am now looking into the nasal spray) Just start with small steps, and eventually build up to this, as it is quite daunting and overwhelming!!!! Good luck,it's all worth it!!
