Guest guest
Hi My son went for a comprehensive orthodontic evaluation. Today we found out that his tonsils and adenoids are severly enlarged and got a referral to an ENT. I was wondering has anyone gone through this with their children? My son is freaked out because he is deathly afraid of needles, blood and medical procedures so he is basically refusing to go. I am not sure how to make a 5ft 5 160 pound child do anything he doesnt want to do. I have told him that they can not put braces on until this is looked at. The orthodontist and I showed him the computer generated pics of what will happen to his jaw if he does not have braces... (really bad stuff ;( He just says that he would rather die than go to the ENT and have a scope put in his nose and down his throat and have an IV during surgery. Sooo I dont know what to do! Any ideas? Allie
