Guest guest
I've read the files and heard Stan speak. I read the posts, but I don't have a good handle on what Valtrex is doing. I'm trying to understand more about virus and this therapy. I don't understand the antifungal/antiviral combination. I keep thinking that at some point I'll get it better. I'm starting an antiviral diet with my son and self this week. This whole viral area is new to me. I'm doing the diet because it will help (but I still don't completely know why). I'm trying to figure out what would be the optimum habits to have with diet while on antiviral such as Valtrex. How to make this therapy most effective. Enlighten me please! Guest guest
It is a powerful Antiviral, and used regularly for Shingles and Herpes viruses!!! Guest guest
Antivirals inhibit replication of the virus so that the immune system can get a better handle on it. The antifungal is because for whatever reason, in our children, it tends to create yeast issues. No one is sure why this is and why it doesn't happen to adults taking it for herpes or shingles. Right now, it's just one of those mysteries.CherylI've read the files and heard Stan speak. I read the posts, but I don't have a good handle on what Valtrex is doing. Guest guest
, I thought your boy was almost entirely recovered with BED intervention...do you think you need the antiviral/antifungal? We saw ans may yet see more good gains with this strategy, but we just ordered BED book...Di > > > I've read the files and heard Stan speak. Guest guest
Di, I posted on this before. I would say we are 75% of the way there. " there " is a subjective term. Recovery means different things to different people. Us being anywhere in the vacinity is a blessing I can barely grasp. I'd have to be more specific of where we were and where we are. Hard to do on email. At this point he is mainstreamed in Montesori homeschool. We do what any other 4 yr old can do, but we are delayed. He is behind. I guess we are somewhere in the high functioning end of things. More important is where we came from. Regardless I will be working to improve my families health. Getting Tyler to recovery is just part of my mission. I'm working with other families and want to be sure that my children have every opportunity for a life of wellness. So I'll be at this for years I'm sure. Regarding viral, Tyler has a scar at the injection site since his MMR. He had immediate fever/screaming and soon diarhea. I follow BED and Donna Gates believes that at some point the viral issue needs to be addressed in all of these children. It took us two years to develop enough habits to be able to do the antiviral diet (vegetables and fats only 4-10 days). I'm always looking and learning about the next thing. I do everything for myself too as my issues are in some way related to my son's. I learned a lot listening to Stan at conferences, and want to keep every option open. It seems that every month new layers of healing are revealed. Valtrex is of interest to me. > > > > > I've read the files and heard Stan speak. Guest guest
Cheryl thank you. I think there is a metal/ yeast relationship. I know that Yasko believes metal/viral relationship. SO somewhere in all that we have our answer I guess. In listenting to Donna Gates talk on antiviral diet she says we are trying to keep the " dragon " virus in it's cave. I guess the same idea as Valtrex. > > > > > I've read the files and heard Stan speak. I read the posts, but I > > > don't have a good handle on what Valtrex is doing. Guest guest
Yes, there is a relationship. Viruses hold on to metals. Get rid of the viruses and you should (theoretically) be able to excrete metals at a much better rate.I think that what you are seeing with BED/Donna Gates is that the foods are high on natural antivirals. And that goes back to what I was saying in a previous post that you can enhance the antivirals with it but it's not something that I would say is something that you could do without antivirals and expect the same results. Sure, it may be possible in others but in our kids, I would have to say it's not likely.CherylCheryl thank you. I think there is a metal/ yeast relationship. Guest guest
Got it...and now I remember the earlier post...I thought then and think now that your son is def a candidate based on that MMR reaction. We are going to take Matt in for a consultation with Dr.G as he is THE antiviral guy in this neck of the woods...If you decide you want a similar appointment, you and your son have a place to stay here at our house....small but near the nicest beaches of Malibu and Donna Gates and co coincidentally. We are not in the high end of things and have just ordered BED book so we will see where that takes us.....Di > > > > > > > I've read the files and heard Stan speak.
