Hi!

I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for helping my daughter

(ADHD, OCD) remember her meds.

We are fairly new at taking meds. She takes Strattera in the evening.

So far, I have set up a reminder on my computer. I was thinking of

getting a " Dosette " box with days of the week to make sure each has

been taken. I was also thinking I should do it either at supper or

bedtime so that we can put them somewhere we can't miss them. We

forgot her pill last night and I had to weather 3 huge meltdowns this

evening. One of them was OCD-related. She gets a sticker for

skipping hair-washing every other night. Tonight, she felt her hair

was dirty and wanted to wash it, but still wanted her sticker. She

screamed and kicked in the bathroom for 20 minutes. I couldn't tell

her she would get a sticker anyway, so I finally compromised by

telling her i would change her pillowcase tomorrow. Was that wrong?

Then she cried some more because she couldn't get the water

temperature " perfect " . She usually also reads the warnings on all of

the soap and shampoo bottles and has to inform me of all of them " keep

out of contact with eyes " ; " do not ingest " ; " for external use only " .

etc. and make sure that she is safe.

Anyway, this is the second time we forget her meds, and it really

upsets me. Am I the only scatter brained mom out there?

Thanks!

Dianne
