Guest guest
Today I had someone come in who had supposedly scheduled themselves a meet the doc visit on AQ, but it didn't come through. Someone else scheduled in their slot, so I decided to see my established patient. This is the 2nd or 3rd time this has happened, where someone thought they had scheduled a visit, but it wasn't in AQ. It was the first time there was a conflict however. The first time, the pt caught it because he didn't get an email reminder. The second time, someone walked in and I didn't expect them, but no one else was there at the same time. Has anyone else ever had problems with Appointment Quest visits not coming through when scheduled by the patient themselves? I have the ultra low budget version ($6.59/month) so perhaps this would be less likely if I were to buy a more deluxe version, but I don't know... I think maybe I ought to try out something else if it's going to cause trouble like this.LonnaSubject: Re: free appointment softwareTo: Date: Sunday, September 21, 2008, 9:43 PM Hourtown is another online appointment site. Guest guest
We have two common scenarios when AppointmentQuest seems to cause problems: 1. The patient will schedule an appointment for “tomorrow” on the system, but not realize that he/she was actually working on a day that was a week from tomorrow. This happens if I am gone for a while and my open appointment slots in the next few days get tight. These patients get the appointment confirmation email, but don’t notice that the date is wrong. 2. The patient thinks he/she has scheduled an appointment, but does not complete the form to where it is saved and submitted. In this case, there is no confirmation email. I have not seen these issues happen more than once to any one patient, but we do probably get a couple of people a month where one or another of these issues occurs. It is still much less confusion than when I had a receptionist scheduling people. I pay about $20.00 a month for the level of AQ that I use, and it is worth at least 10 times that much. dts From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Lonna Larsh Sent: Monday, September 22, 2008 7:34 PM To: Subject: Re: Re: free appointment software Today I had someone come in who had supposedly scheduled themselves a meet the doc visit on AQ, but it didn't come through. Guest guest
We haven't seen anything like this yet. Ours is set up for Manual Confirmation. yep, I confirm each one (I review it to make sure I have info needed, or to insure they are not coming for something inappropriate.)
