Guest guest
My son, , did a first today and I had to share it with someone! He has always been afraid of large open areas. He cannot walk into a large area, especially with any echoing (gyms, school cafeterias). He couldn't walk across a large parking lot without panicking and hanging on me, as though he acted like he was going to " fall through " the large area -- hard to explain. He could get across the area if he held onto nearby cars and then onto to me or a cart, but never walk across it alone. Well today, I took him with me to Kroger. When we got out of the car, I observed him walking ahead of me (unusual) instead of waiting for me so he can hang onto something. I also watched him keep walking without any assistance and then he walked across the parking lot into the store all by himself. I was beside myself! He just grinned when he saw my face. I just wanted to jump for joy! He's had this problem since he was about 5 years old and he is now 22. What a blessing!
