ThreeLac - Day One Reaction?

I just started my son on Threelac this afternoon. 1/2 packet to begin.

Within an hour, he was whining, crying, sad. I didn't know what to do

with him. He finally went up to his room and layed on his bed with

blocks and a movie and fell asleep by 8:30 which is rare for him. Is

this a reaction, that quickly, to the ThreeLac? Maybe I should do less

than 1/2 packet tomorrow.
